    • Apparatus for retrieving images of microfilms on sheet-like microforms on which the microfilms form frames arranged in vertical and horizontal rows and including larger and smaller frames. A transporting unit can move a microform up or down in a vertical plane so as to place a selected horizontal row of frames in front of a horizontal light source. A carriage in front of the transporting unit supports two lenses which are in line with the light source and respectively serve to project the images of larger and smaller frames onto the screen of a television camera. The carriage is movable horizontally to place a selected lens into register with a selected frame of that horizontal row of frames which is located in front of the light source, and the carriage can transmit motion to a plate- or belt-like diaphragm which is disposed between the transporting unit and the lenses and has one or more apertures registering with that lens which projects the image of a selected frame onto the screen. The device for moving the carriage includes a steel band connected to the carriage and having encoded information which is scanned by one of two photoelectric detectors. These detectors are actuatable alternatively and are respectively associated with the lenses for the projection of images of larger and smaller microfilm frames to arrest the motor for the band when the corresponding lens registers with a selected frame.

    • The air conditioning device for electronic components features three channels (6, 7, 8) for two flowing fluids that are in heat exchange with one another. In the first operating mode these two fluids are guided by means of switchable flaps into two selected channels (7, 8) where they are in heat exchange with one another at a partition (12) that is equipped with heat exchange elements (12, 13). In a second operating mode the flaps are switched in such a manner that the two fluids are in heat exchange with one another at a Peltier element (9) that is equipped on both sides with heat exchange elements (9, 11). In a third operating mode the Peltier element is switched as a heating element. In the first operating mode on the other hand the Peltier element is deactivated and consumes no electric energy.

    • The cooling device, particularly for electronic components, such as microprocessors, consists of a substrate (1), which features a heat-inlet surface that is in thermal contact with an object (6) to be cooled and a heat-dissipation surface. The heat-dissipation surface has a defined structure, preferably in the form of continuous channels (2), and has a significantly larger surface area than the heat-inlet surface. At least the heat-inlet surface, but preferably also all or significant portions of the heat-dissipation surface are provided with a thin coating (3) made of heat-conductive material. Another improvement is obtained because the surface features a coating made of fine particles (21), e.g., made of metal or metal oxide, which further increases the surface area.
