    • Apparatus for feeding a plurality of yarn, sliver or fibrous materials to a textile machine, comprising: a plurality of stationary supply packages on which said materials are wound; a stationary endless track having at least a working and a return section; and a plurality of feeding elements. Every feeding element is associated with one of said supply packages, wherein said feeding elements are arranged to run around said track in series in such a manner, that the distances between the feeding elements and the associated ones of said supply packages become gradually and alternately smaller and larger during successive runs of said feeding elements on said track. Said materials are held by said feeding elements when the relevant feeding elements pass through said return section, and are releasable for processing by said textile machine when the relevant feeding elements pass through said working section. A plurality of automatically operating and stationary storage devices are arranged in the path between the said feeding elements and the associated supply packages for the intermediate storage of all quantities of the materials which may result from a reduction of the distance between a feeding element and the associated supply package, and for the delivery of said stored quantities, if said distances again become gradually larger.

    • The shower base (1) of an otherwise conventional shower head comprises a perforated plate (1a) made of a rigid material and a jet insert (1b) which is made of a flexible material and which is attached to the perforated plate (1a) in such a way that it can be removed. The jet insert (1b) consists of a base plate (9) which extends along the outer surface of the perforated plate (1a) and protects it against impact damage. There are preformed on to the base plate (9) of the jet insert (1b) a number of hose-type jet attachments (10) each of which extend through a hole (3) in the perforated plate (1a), going from outside in, in fact, such that the free ends of the jet attachments (10) are located inside the shower head. The jet insert (1b) has a locking device (32), with which it is secured to the perforated plate (1a) in such a way that it can be removed. The entire jet insert (1b) can be removed from the perforated plate (1a) by applying axial pull, without having to dismantle the shower base (1) from the shower head housing. The entire jet insert (1b) which is removed from the shower head can easily be cleaned and in particular manual flexing can be carried out to remove limescale deposits which build up on the wall surface of the jet channels (13) going through the jet attachments (10), especially in the area around the water outlet openings (15) (FIG. 1).

    • In a known manner, a shower head, particularly for a hand shower, has a bell-shaped housing, which is closed off at the bottom by a shower base (1) and in which at least one water chamber is formed which connects with a water supply channel. The shower base (1) contains a large number of water outlet openings (15), which are made on hose-type jet attachments (11). The hose-type jet attachments (11) extend from a smooth, unbroken, continuous outer surface of the shower base (1) which is free of indentations apart from the water outlet openings (15) into the inside of the housing. In so doing they pass through a hole (3) in the shower base (1), the diameter of which is larger than the outer diameter of the jet attachment (11). In this way, there is formed round the jet attachment (11) a clear circular space (13) which does not open in the outer surface of the shower base (1) but in its inner surface. As a result of this clear circular space (13), the jet attachments (11), which are not visible from the outside, can be flexed to dislodge limescale.

    • In a control disc valve with at least two control discs, the linear movement of one of the control discs, which is involved with a variation in quantity of the medium to be regulated, is prevented by a special brake. For this purpose the movable control disc itself is inserted in a closed chamber so that it divides the latter into two partial chambers. The latter are connected to each other by way of a displacement path. The closed chamber is filled with a fluid medium of suitable viscosity. If the control disc moves in a linear manner for varying the quantity of the medium passing through, it operates within the closed chamber in the manner of a piston and displaces the fluid medium by way of the displacement path from one partial chamber to the other. Active lubrication of the sliding surfaces of the control discs can be associated with this at the same time. (FIG. 1).
