    • A contact mechanism includes a current path having a 360° winding formed by a plurality conductor sections and having an axis that is perpendicular to a plane in which a rotary contact body is movable. The conductor sections include a first section with a first current conductor that extends to a fixed contact. A second conductor section extends through the fixed and rotary contacts. A third conductor section extends through the rotary contact. A final, conductor section, including a second current conductor, extends to the rotary contact body and runs parallel and in close proximity to the first current conductor. Each of the first and second current conductors are substantially parallel to the rotary contact body in the closed position and are formed as straight and rigid busbars having a length corresponding at least to a length of a contact arm of the rotary contact body.

    • The breaker mechanism for power circuit breakers is the energy storage link between the handle and the contact systems. Known breaker mechanisms are generally too expensive to manufacture. When contact welding occurs, there is also the risk that, in spite of the tripping of the breaker mechanism, the contact system will not open. The new breaker mechanism reliably opens the contact system and consists of fewer and technologically simpler individual parts. It is inserted between two symmetrical breaker plates held in a die cast housing, and in which a connecting piece is mounted. Two toggle levers are connected at a distance from one another by means of a connecting shaft engaged in crossbar cam slots. A toggle lever spring is engaged between the connecting piece and the connecting shaft. A bracing lever which can be driven by the connecting piece is friction locked in the breaker plates, and the toggle levers in the bracing lever. A latch lever and a latch holding the latter in the locked position are friction locked by means of a latch spring in recesses of the breaker plates.

    • An indicator device displays a status of switching contacts of a circuit breaker that includes an energy store. The indicator device includes a lever and a coupling element. The lever includes a display element and is movable between a triggered position and a non-triggered position based upon at least one operational parameter. The coupling element is operatively connected to the lever so as to be movable between a triggered, position and a non-triggered position by the lever. The coupling element is configured to be further operatively connected to a first actuator of the energy store so as to be movable by the first actuator into the non-triggered position when energy is stored in the first energy store and so as to not be moved from the non-triggered position into the triggered position when energy stored in the energy store is released.
