The method involves creating a backup copy of the messages that have been accepted for delivery by one email gateway system in the stateful failover cluster on one or more other email gateway systems in the stateful failover cluster. Upon detecting the failure of the email gateway system that accepted the message, another member of the stateful failover cluster that has access to the backup copy of the message queue takes responsibility for the delivery of the messages on the mirrored queue.

摘要： Techniques to allow applications to propagate information to the other instances of the applications running on downstream servers are provided. An indicator, such as a token, tag, etc., is placed within or added to a message that is flowing through the distributed environment to signify that a process has been performed on the message. For example, when an instance of an application running on a server receives a message, the application instance can examine the indicator contained in the message and take appropriate action. If the application instance decides to process the message, the application instance can include an indicator in the message to signify that the application instance processed the message. The presence of the indicator signifies that the message has been processed by an upstream instance of the same application.

摘要： Sensor nodes (or addresses therefore), acting as real-time message decoys, are distributed across a real-time communications network to attract unsolicited real-time messages. Filtering rules are derived from the message characteristics (such as the source address) and messaging content of the traffic encountered at the sensor nodes. The filtering rules are distributed to filtering agents positioned in the communications network in such a way that they can filter traffic for legitimate users. The filtering agents may identify and control the disposition of real-time messaging traffic that is part of a mass communication campaign on behalf of legitimate users of the real-time messaging communication system. Disposition may include suppressing, diverting, or labeling.

摘要： Aspects of the present invention are drawn to methods and compositions for the genetic analysis of regions of interest (ROI) from one or more starting polynucleotide sample(s). In certain aspects, adapter tagged polynucleotide fragments from a plurality of initial polynucleotide samples are pooled, circularized and amplified to produce an immortalized library. Multiple ROI's from this immortalized library are amplified (e.g., in independent iPCR reactions) to generate amplicons, and, in some embodiments, pooled to form a pooled ROI amplicon sample. In certain embodiments, the amplicons for each ROI amplicon in the pooled ROI amplicon sample are present at known molar or mass ratios. The pooled ROI amplicon sample can be analyzed/processed as desired, e.g., sequenced using next generation sequencing technology.
