摘要： This invention constructs within the LAN a private area network (PAN) which is configured by terminal devices (personal computers and the like) of a specific group, is hardly influenced by the LAN traffic, and has high security. For this purpose, a PAN server which manages the communication route between specific terminals is installed within the LAN. The PAN server sets the communication route of each terminal device as label information, and causes switches and terminals to set pieces of label information generated for them. When the frame of data from a given port of each connection switch contains information representing PAN communication, the connection switch outputs the data to only a port specified by routing label information described in the frame.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a card adapter for electrically connecting electrical connecting portions of a card-shaped electronic device such as a CF card to contacts in a slot for a PC card provided in a personal computer. The card adapter 1 includes a chassis 10, a pair of conducting plates 40 provided on the upper and lower sides of the chassis 10, and a grounding member 20, and the like. The grounding member 20 is used to provide an electrical path for electrically connecting a grounding contact portion of the CF card to a grounding part of the slot without using the conducting plates 40 and it is formed into a single part. By using such a grounding member 20, the card adapter 1 can directly connect the grounding contact portion of the CF card to the grounding part of the slot to accomplish stable and reliable grounding.

The repeater forms a transmission signal to be sent to a transmission line by frequency-multiplexing information signals respectively transmitted from the plurality of connected terminal units. The repeater also receives a transmission signal supplied from the transmission line and supplies a plurality of information signals frequency-multiplexed with the input transmission signal to a corresponding terminal unit. With this arrangement, an inexpensive, easy-to-use video communication system which suffers little deterioration in image quality and sound quality can be provided.
