    • A dehumidifier element is produced by alternately laminating corrugated paper and flat liner paper, both papers being of low density and composed of inorganic fiber such as ceramic fiber, to form a honeycomb matrix having many small channels penetrating through opposite surfaces. The formed matrix is fired with hot air to remove organic substances contained in the sheets, or the sheets may be fired before the lamination. The matrix is impregnated with water glass after the laminating process, or the sheets are impregnated before the laminating process. In either case, the formed matrix is soaked in an aqueous solution of aluminum sulphate or magnesium sulphate to form a silicate hydrogel on the papers and in the apertures between fibers of the papers. The shaped matrix and the metal silicate hydrogel are washed and dried to obtain a dehumidifying element having physical strength. The metal sulphate solution is cooled to precipitate and remove sodium sulphate from the solution. Additional sulphate is added to the metal sulphate solution for repeating the manufacturing process for another dehumidifier element. The main constituent of the element is metal silicate aerogel deposited in the apertures between the fibers of the inorganic fiber paper and on the inorganic fiber paper, which acts as an adsorbent.

    • A revolving gas adsorption concentrator uses about 300 degree centigrade of hot desorption air. The revolving gas adsorption concentrator prevents leakage of such hot desorption air. An elastic seal which has elasticity divides a honeycomb shape rotor into a desorption zone and an adsorption zone and touches the honeycomb shape rotor. A heat-resistant seal comprises of material whose heat resistance is higher than elastic seal. The heat-resistant seal has two plates which has a mutually opened spacing to prevent hot gas from going to the elastic seal based on the labyrinth effectiveness. The elastic seal is formed in the outside of desorption zone from heat-resistant seal. The seal of the hot desorption air is almost blocked by heat-resistant seal and the desorption air which leaked slightly can be thoroughly blocked completely by elastic seal.

    • A heat exchanger, perhaps a cross flow heat exchanger, has first and second passages. During dehumidification (adsorption of moisture) in the first passages, water is evaporated from the second passages. This water can be introduced to the second passages during reactivation (desorption of moisture) in the first passages or at another time. If the water is introduced to the second passages during reactivation, the first and second passages have therein first and second moisture adsorbents. During a first time period, air to be dehumidified is passed through the first passages of the heat exchanger and cooling air is passed through the second passages of the heat exchanger to remove heat generated in the first passages and to desorb moisture adsorbed by the second moisture adsorbent. During a second time period, a heating fluid is passed through the second passages of the heat exchanger to heat the first passages and supply moisture for adsorption to the second moisture adsorbent. Also during the second time period, removal air is passed through the first passages of the heat exchanger to eliminate water adsorbed by the first moisture adsorbent during the first time period. If water is introduced to the second passages at a time other than during reactivation, it is not necessary for the second passages to have a moisture adsorbent therein. The water could be introduced to the second passages as a spray during the first time period (during dehumidification).

    • An FM radio receiver receives and displays program data which is affixed with a return destination box number and return form type data and has been transmitted from an FM broadcasting station 1 in the multiplexed form on FM broadcast radio waves. In responding to a displayed program through the FM radio receiver, first, the FM radio receiver 2 reads a return form corresponding to the return form type data from a ROM card 24 and displays the form. A user inputs return message data according to the displayed return form. FM radio receiver 2 transmits the return destination box number data in addition to the return message data to a service center 5. The service center 5 stores the received return message data in a box corresponding to the return destination box number data affixed to the received return message data. The return message data is edited and collected box by box. The edited and/or collected results are sent to the FM broadcasting station 1 as needed.
