    • A superconducting device may include a superconducting weak link equipped with plural superconducting devices that are used as input-output terminals formed on the same plane and at least one current source for applying current to at least one of these superconducting electrodes. A superconducting device suitable for high integration can be realized as it enables structuring of a superconducting weak link 1 equipped with plural superconducting electrodes 101, 102, 103 and 104 that can be used as input-output terminals and changing symmetry of superconducting electrode arrangement through the form of a normal conductor 201 which is forming a superconducting weak link. In addition, when this superconducting device is used as a quasi-particle injection type device, a superconducting device with plural superconducting electrodes that can be used for a gate electrode, drain electrode or control electrode can be realized. Further, a superconducting device equipped with new functions (e.g. motion as a neuron device) which are capable of high integration can be realized by utilizing these characteristics. Furthermore, being a proximity effect type, superconducting weak link has an advantage of realizing an ultra highspeed, low electricity consuming switching device.

    • Provided is a nuclear magnetic resonance probe coil that is included in a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus in which the direction of a static magnetic field is horizontal and that can highly sensitively measure multiple nuclear species. A nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus includes a unit that horizontally applies a static magnetic field, a unit that vertically moves a specimen to a predetermined position in the apparatus, and a probe including in the distal part thereof a probe coil that applies a radiofrequency signal to the specimen and that detects a signal produced by the specimen. The probe coil includes multiple pairs of superconducting thin-film rings formed on respective substrates that are disposed in parallel with the static magnetic field while being separated from each other by a predetermined distance, a detection loop that detects a signal received by the superconducting thin-film rings, and a transmission coil that applies the radiofrequency signal to the specimen and that has the normal thereto extended horizontally.

    • A configuration of an NMR apparatus is provided. In the NMR apparatus, a magnetic field space of higher uniformity is generated by split superconducting magnets. At the same time, it is provided with a cryo probe excellent in cooling capability and sensitivity between two superconducting solenoid coils constructed in very close proximity to each other. For this purpose, a probe coil provided between the two superconducting solenoid coils is so constructed that the following is implemented: a certain distance is ensured between a substrate with a coil formed thereon and another, and the substrates and spacer substrates for cooling are alternately laminated. The spacer substrates are cooled by a cold head of sapphire. When the probe coil is inserted in the same direction as a sample tube (direction perpendicular to the static magnetic field), the spacer substrates cannot be coupled directly by the cold head of sapphire. Therefore, they are cooled through a fixed substrate for thermal conduction of sapphire coupled with the cold head.
