摘要： A method of casting a rotor using a cavity and core mold allows a longitudinal slot oriented transversely to the axis of rotation to be finish ground to high precision and tight tolerances by casting the slot to have a wider section which extends from the axis to a radius greater than the radii of the hubs of the rotor, and a narrower section which extends from the wider section to the outer surface of the rotor. The geometrical relation of the slot sections to the hubs as cast permits the grinding step to be performed without forming a leak path in either of the hubs.

摘要： A device usable as an impeller has a plurality of vanes rotating eccentrically about a shaft. Eccentric rotation is enabled by a cam mounted on the shaft. The vanes are received within slots in a rotor which surrounds the shaft and rotates about an axis coaxial with the shaft. The rotor rotates within a housing having a cylindrical surface facing the rotor. The surface is eccentric to the shaft. The vanes execute reciprocal motion upon rotation of the rotor. The vane motion is constrained so that the edges of the vanes remain proximate to the cylindrical surface during rotation.

摘要： Implementations of the present invention comprise a rotor assembly for use in a rotary compressor. The rotor assembly includes a shaft, a pair of end plates, an input shaft, and a rotor. The rotor can be positioned between the pair of endplates. At least two of these components can be machined or formed as an integral unit, to increase the geometrical precision and integrity of the rotor assembly. For example, the rotor and input shaft can be formed integrally; alternatively, one of the endplates and the input shaft can be formed integrally. A pair of liners can be provided and positioned between the endplates and the rotor to increase sliding and/or sealing performance against other components of the rotary compressor, such as a gate positioned in a bore of the rotor.
