    • An input apparatus of the resistive type that is thinner and more durable is provided. The apparatus includes a first substrate having a conductive film on which a plurality of slits are formed in stripes, and a second substrate spaced apart from the first substrate at a fixed distance to face the surface of the first substrate implementing the conductive film. This second substrate has a conductive film formed on the surface facing the conductive film of the first substrate. A driving voltage is applied between two predetermined points on the conductive film formed on the first substrate. An electric potential of the conductive film formed on the second substrate is detected when the two conductive films come into contact.

    • A rice hulling and sorting machine includes a pair of hulling rolls which drop husked rice grains into a pneumatic sorting compartment which the husks are preliminary sorted from the rice grains; the rice grains thereafter being thrown upwardly into one end of the upper of two horizontally mounted rotating sorting cylinders. The interior surfaces of these cylinders have a multitude of recesses for trapping single rice grains at the bottom of their circumferential paths of movement to carry them upwardly and dropping them into conveying troughs which run the length of the interiors of the cylinders. Rice grains which are not trapped in the upper cylinder are fed back into the hulling rolls while those dropped into the upper trough are fed to the lower interior of the lower cylinder where they are again subject to being trapped in the recesses of the lower cylinder and dropped into the lower conveyor trough. Rice grains which are not trapped in the lower trough are fed back into the pneumatic sorting compartment while those dropped into the lower trough are discharged from the machine. An angularly adjustable plate extends along one side of each trough which controls the location in the circumferential path at which trapped rice grains fall into each trough.

    • Improves the connection between a touch panel and an external harness.A first electrode cable (11) and a third electrode cable (13) are disposed on a first ITO film (20) on a glass substrate (10) of a touch panel, and a second electrode cable (12) and a fourth electrode cable (14) are disposed on a second ITO film (60) on a flexible resin (50). First to fourth guide conductors (31 to 34) are disposed in parallel on a first insulation layer (30) that is provided near a first side (10a) of the glass substrate. The first to fourth electrode cables are connected to the first to fourth guide conductors, via first to fourth connection conductors (21 to 24). A second insulation layer (40) is laminated on them. On a connection section (6) of an external harness (4), first to fourth external conductors (81 to 84) have their coating removed at the touch panel side, and are superimposed with the plurality of guide conductors of the touch panel so that they cross each other. First to fourth holes (41 to 44) are provided in advance on the second insulation layer at positions where the external conductors cross the guide conductors respectively. The external harness and the touch panel are pressed together while being heated, and are connected together.
