    • A network system of the present invention includes a switch and a controller. The controller sets a flow entry, in which are defined a rule and an action used to uniformly control a packet as a flow, in a flow table of the switch. The switch determines whether or not to perform a sampling processing to a received packet, in accordance with the flow table setting, and notifies the controller of a sampling result in a case where a sampling processing is performed to the received packet. The controller updates the flow table in accordance with the sampling result and narrows packets to perform a sampling processing.

    • In a machine tool having a rotary shaft for use in rotating a tool or a workpiece, a plurality of stable rotation speeds at which the chatter vibrations are expected to be suppressed, and at least one switching rotation speed across which a dynamic characteristic of a rotary shaft system changes are stored. The plurality of stable rotation speeds may be determined from chatter vibrations detected using a vibration detection unit. Optimum rotation speed that is a rotation speed to which a rotation speed of the rotary shaft is changeable without crossing the switching rotation speed is selected from the plurality of stable rotation speeds, and the rotation speed of the rotary shaft is changed to the optimum rotation speed. Thus, chatter vibrations generated during rotation of the rotary shaft can be suppressed effectively.

    • An operating device includes click feeling generation members provided on a base plate, a pusher that elastically deforms the click feeling generation members, a pressure receiving surface provided on the pusher, a shaft that is operable to tilt to directions with respect to a standing state, and an operating part provided on the shaft and engaged with the deepest part of the pressure receiving surface. The operating part is disengaged from the deepest part of the pressure receiving surface when the shaft is operated to tilt to any of the directions. When the operating part is disengaged from the deepest part of the pressure receiving surface, the operating part of the shaft pushes the pressure receiving surface to move the pusher toward the base plate, so that all of the click feeling generation members are elastically deformed from the first states to the second states.
