    • This invention provides a matrix switcher apparatus adapted to arbitrarily distribute signals in a plurality of input channels to a plurality of output channels. The matrix switcher apparatus includes a cross point matrix adapted for connecting one matrix switcher unit to any other matrix switcher unit or units to carry out expansion of input/output, and input and output terminals expandable up to a predetermined maximum number of channels. Further, this invention provides a matrix switcher apparatus comprising a first cross point matrix including a first group of input terminals to receive signals in a plurality of channels, and a first group of output terminals for at least some of the plurality of channels and a second group of output terminals for expansion to any other unit or units; and a second cross point matrix including a second group of input terminals coupled with the first group of output terminals and a third group of input terminals for receiving signals from one or more additional matrix switcher apparatus for expansion, and a third group of output terminals fewer in number than the plurality of channels, thereby making it possible to construct a matrix switching system on a compact scale or in any of a variety of scales, and to reduce its cost.

    • A video apparatus for processing an input video signal in synchronization with an external reference signal is provided. The video apparatus includes a phase compensation FIFO memory and a measuring device. The phase compensation FIFO memory is configured such that the input video signal is written in synchronization with a clock demodulated from the input video signal and the video signal is read in synchronization with an internal reference clock of the apparatus generated from the external reference signal. The measuring device is configured to measure an amount of jitter/wander of the input video signal based on a calculation of a difference between data volume of the video signal obtained in the FIFO memory and a predetermined reference volume.

    • A video apparatus for processing an input video signal in synchronization with an external reference signal is provided.     • A process for producing a porous resin film containing a polyolefin resin as a main component, comprising meltinig a mixture of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin, (B) 0 to 50 parts by weight of a polyester-polyether type thermoplastic elastomer, and (C) a thermoplastic polyester resin having an instrinsic viscosity of not more than 0.5, the amount of the component (C) being from 25 to 90 part by weight per 100 parts of the total amount of the component (A) and the component (B), by heating the mixture at a temperature of not less than the melting temperature of the component (C); kneading the mixture at a shear rate of not less than 200/sec. while cooling the mixture to a temperature of not more than the crystallization temperature of the component (C) and not less than the melting temperature of the component (A); subjecting the mixture to film-forming at a temperature of less than the melting temperature of the component (C) and not less than the melting temperature of the component (A) and cooling the resultant rapidly to obtain a non-stretched film; and stretching the non-stretched film in at least one direction. The porous film obtained by the process has an excellent water proof and an excellent water vapor permeability.
