    • A frame for a vehicle having two side members, two longitudinal members and two cross members. Each side member extends between a respective front wheel and rear wheel, and the two longitudinal members are arranged in at least one end region of the vehicle and, throughout at least portions of their lengths, are laterally displaced with respect to the side members in the direction toward the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The cross members extend in opposite directions from the longitudinal propeller shaft tunnel of the vehicle and have projecting portions extending into the end region of the vehicle, these projecting portions supporting downwardly inclined ends of respective ones of the longitudinal members. The cross members are force-transmittingly connected with the tunnel, with the corresponding side members, and with a base plate, and are provided with attachments for supporting an axle mount.

    • A master to be copied has a picture in which a dark region and a light region are located one behind the other. The two regions are separated by a light/dark transition where a halo can develop on copies of the master. Prior to copying, the master is scanned and the resulting data used to produce a mask for the master. The mask has a light/dark transition corresponding to the light/dark transition of the master. However, the light/dark transition of the mask is shifted relative to the light/dark transition of the master. The shift is such that, when the mask is superimposed on the master, the light/dark transition of the mask is superimposed on a region of the master which reduces the visibility of the halo. The master is copied following masking.

    • A transparent master is mechanically sensed to detect the emulsion. The master is then advanced into a projection arrangement where a scanner scans the master point-by-point and line-by-line to generate signals containing data on the master. The signals are entered in a memory and electronically enhanced. The enhanced signals are sent to a cathode ray tube which produces a printing beam responsive to the signals. The printing beam prints an image of the master on copy material. If sensing of the emulsion indicates that the master is inverted, the image of the master is electronically inverted in the projection arrangement to thereby obtain a normal copy. The electronic inversion can be accomplished in any one of several ways as follows: (i) reversing the order in which the signals are generated by the scanner; (ii) reversing the order in which the signals are entered in the memory; (iii) reversing the order in which the signals are retrieved from the memory; or (iv) reversing the direction of movement of the printing beam.
