摘要： A volatile liquid loadable porous metal or ceramic container and manufacturing method thereof provided with a structural body formed by metal or ceramic sintering and provided with breathable pores, which extend from an outer surface of the structural body to the interior of the structural body, and the breathable pores form spaces to transport or/and store liquid. The manufacturing method includes: a. taking a low temperature volatile material as the core; b. completely covering the aforementioned core with metal or ceramic powder in the predetermined mold; c. controlling compactness of the metal or ceramic powder; d. sintering of the core at a temperature higher than the vaporization temperature to cause gaseous effusion of the core; e. taking off the predetermined mold after completing sintering.

摘要： The present invention provides a flower pot using humidity sensor material to prompt watering, including an outer pot body, in the form of a watertight dish body, an inner pot body, and a humidity sensor material that is packed in the pot wall of the outer pot body. The inner pot body is fabricated from multi-pore material and is disposed within the outer pot body, and the inner pot body brim is provided with a water filling hole. Or the outer pot body is fabricated from multi-pore material, the outer wall thereof being coated with a water resisting layer and includes a sensing region coated with a humidity sensor material. Accordingly, the water content in the inner pot body can be known through use of the humidity sensor material, prompting the user whether or not to add water, and further regulating the water content of the potted plant.

In the present invention, by additionally adding a self-setting booting item into an OSD (on-screen display) menu provided by the TV system, a plurality of booting modes related to the TV system is self-defined by a user under the self-setting booting item. Since the booting mode of the TV system can be self-defined/selected by the user, the modules corresponding to functions that are not need by the user in the TV system can be turned off/disabled, which avails saving power and improving a booting speed of the TV system, and even increasing practicability of the TV system.

摘要： A method for probabilistic fatigue life prediction using nondestructive testing data considering uncertainties from nondestructive examination (NDE) data and fatigue model parameters. The method utilizes uncertainty quantification models for detection, sizing, fatigue model parameters and inputs. A probability of detection model is developed based on a log-linear model coupling an actual flaw size with a nondestructive examination (NDE) reported size. A distribution of the actual flaw size is derived for both NDE data without flaw indications and NDE data with flaw indications by using probabilistic modeling and Bayes theorem. A turbine rotor example with real world NDE inspection data is presented to demonstrate the overall methodology.
