    • The present invention discloses a graphical display method and apparatus relating to an electrogram signal received from at least one lead used in conjunction with an implantable medical device. The present invention provides a time-expanded waveform of a portion of a signal relating to a single heartbeat. Sensitivity threshold information is also graphically displayed on the waveform. The programmer assembly of the present invention comprises an analyzer for locating and marking desired characteristics of the electrogram signal with a plurality of markers to produce a marked electrogram signal. A processor receives the electrogram signal from the analyzer and recognizes the marked desired characteristics of the electrogram signal. The processor also receives sensitivity threshold information from a particular lead. A display, controlled by the processor, graphically displays information representing a portion of the electrogram signal immediately adjacent to a single marker and graphically displays a sensitivity threshold superimposed onto the portion of the electrogram signal.

    • A device that mounts onto the front of a kayak to assist in righting the kayak after it rolls over. It consists of a small mast that is attached to a hinged base. An inflatable bag is attached to the top of the mast along with equipment to inflate the bag. A lanyard is attached to the inflation equipment and to the top of the mast. In a rollover, the user pulls the lanyard, which causes the bag to inflate and the mast to rotate 90 degrees. This places the mast perpendicular to the kayak with the inflated bag at the far end of the mast. The inflated bag acts like an outrigger that causes the kayak to roll back upright automatically. In this way, the kayak is turned upright with minimal problems and difficulties for the user.

The displayed waveform permits a user to quickly and confidently analyze a specific waveform to determine whether a lead is properly positioned prior to attachment of the implantable medical device.

    • An apparatus and method for normalizing waveform information displayed on a medical device. This waveform normalization allows the user to quickly adjust individual waveforms if they exceed the normal viewing range on the display. An electrogram signal is received from an implantable medical device. The electrogram signal is continuously transformed into a plurality of voltage data samples. A waveform is created from the plurality of voltage data samples, and the waveform is displayed on a medical display device. A user selectable waveform normalization control is located adjacent each displayed waveform on the medical display device. Upon activation of the waveform normalization control, the adjacent waveform is normalized to a pre-determined nominal height on the display.
