    • Disclosed is a filter system with at least one filter element (1) that is arranged below the surface of a body of water, with a fluid to be cleaned that can flow from the inner fluid chamber (11) of the filter element to the exterior of the latter, and that is surrounded by the body of water on the exterior such that the cleaned fluid can be discharged into said water. The filter element (1) has a column-like shape defining a vertical axis and is immersed in the body of water with the vertical axis running essentially vertical. The exterior of the filter element is surrounded by a sheath (25) that forms a flow canal (29) for a vertical flow of the body of water between said sheath and the exterior of the filter element (1).

    • The invention relates to a filter apparatus for depositing impurities from a fluid stream by means of use of a filter element (10) which is accommodated in a filter casing (12).     • The present invention relates to a process for regenerating adsorbers as used in solvent recovery, for example. Regeneration is effected in that the adsorbed substances are desorbed according to known processes and a gaseous desorbate stream is produced, that the gaseous desorbate stream is fed into one or several pervaporation modules, that the desorbed substances in the pervaporation modules are removed from the desorbate stream by gas permeation via semi-permeable solubility diffusion membranes, and that the reduced desorbate stream is recirculated to the adsorber. Preferred embodiments of the process according to this invention use heatable solubility diffusion membranes. A recovery of the desorbate stream is rendered possible by the process according to this invention, which does not imply a change in state of the entire desorbate stream.

    • A filter element (8), especially for use in backwash filtering systems, includes a filtering element through which a contaminated fluid flows in at least one direction (24). An intercepting device (62) has at least one rod-shaped permanent magnet or electromagnet (64) that at least partially removes magnetizable, especially ferritic portions from the fluid, before the fluid flows through the filtering element. A detaching device (68) removes the magnetizable portions from the intercepting device (62). The detaching device (68) is configured by a stripper ring (70) that travels along the rod-shaped magnet (64) and removes the portions retained by the intercepting device (62). When the filtering element is backwashed, the stripper ring (70), moved by the fluid flow, detaches the portions retained by the intercepting device (62). This filter element requires little construction space and allows for the automatic and energetically favorable removal of magnetizable, especially ferritic portions, when the filtering element is backwashed.
