摘要： In response to a request for a conference call among specified invitees, a conference-call system provides web pages that elicit from respective invitees the telephone numbers at which they can be reached, and it causes messages that contain those web pages' URIs to be sent to those invitees. If a presence network indicates that an invitee's messages will be received on a telephone, the conference system instead sends to that phone a message specifying a telephone number to call and a PIN to be used for that purpose.

When the conditions specified by the monitoring request are met, the server generates an SMS alert message. The server determines the maximum length in characters of the SMS message and whether there is sufficient space remaining for an advertisement. If sufficient space is available, the server generates an advertisement and appends it to the SMS alert message. The alert message with appended advertising is then sent to the wireless device.

摘要： A method for sampling music on a wireless communication device is presented that allows a user connected to a data network through a wireless communication device to preview audio items prior to making a purchasing decision. The wireless device establishes a first data connection to a data server and navigates through a menu system and selects to listen to an audio item. The data server instructs the wireless device to terminate the first data connection and establish a voice connection with an audio server. The audio server, which is notified by the data server of the audio item and the particular wireless device, plays the audio item once the voice connection is established with the wireless device. The wireless device subsequently establishes a second data connection with the data server and resumes navigation through the menu system at the point where the first data connection was terminated.
