摘要： A medical device (110) including a catheter shaft (111) and a unitarily and continuously formed portion (108) having a varying durometer, and optionally including an expandable balloon (18, 118). One or both of the unitarily and continuously formed portion (108) and the balloon (18, 118) are made from an irradiation cross-linked or cross-linkable mixture of a polyamide elastomer and at least one additional cross-linking reactant. The polyamide elastomer can be a polyester amide, a polyether ester amide or a polyether amide, and is preferably a nylon block copolymer. The aromatic molecule can be 1,3,5 triethyl benzene; 1,2,4 triethyl benzene; and 1,3,5 triisopropyl benzene. The cross-linking reactant can be: (a) a difunctional material, (b) a trifunctional material, (c) a tetrafunctional material, or (d) an aromatic molecule containing at least two ring substituents, each of the ring substituents having labile hydrogens at a benzylic site therein. The cross-linking reactant can also be diallyl phthalate or meta-phenylene dimaleimide.

摘要： An apparatus for percutaneous catheterization. The apparatus comprises a catheter, and an inner cannula received within the lumen of the catheter. The inner cannula has a distal portion that tapers toward the distal end, and is sized to extend through the distal opening of the catheter to provide a generally smooth diametrical transition between the distal end of the catheter and the distal open end of the inner cannula. A stiffening cannula is sized to be received in the lumen of the inner catheter, and has an inner diameter sized to receive a wire guide therethrough. The stiffening cannula as a distal section of greater flexibility than the flexibility of a proximal section for providing kink resistance to the apparatus.

摘要： Prosthetic valve devices for implantation in body vessels are provided. The prosthetic valve device includes at least one flexible member that permits fluid flow in a first direction and substantially prevents fluid flow in a second. The valve device also includes an inflatable chamber at least partially attached to the flexible member. The inflatable chamber is adapted to receive inflating media and is adapted to contact the body vessel. A delivery system is also provided that includes a valve device and a delivery apparatus. The delivery apparatus includes a member adapted for filling the chamber of the valve device with inflating media. A related method of making the valve device is also provided.

The frame further comprises a connector to which the retrieval device is attached. The connector is configured to cooperate with the first and second arms to translate pivotal movement of one of the first and second arms to linear movement of the retrieval device relative to the pivot point.

摘要： Methods of implanting a prosthetic valve in a body vessel are provided. A first expandable frame member is delivered to and deployed at a point of treatment in a body vessel. A second expandable frame member is delivered to the point of treatment. The second expandable frame member has an attached graft member that forms a valve adapted to permit fluid flow through the body vessel in a first direction and to substantially prevent fluid flow through the body vessel in a second, opposite direction. After deployment of the first expandable frame member, the second expandable frame member is deployed at the point of treatment such that the second frame member is positioned radially inward of the first frame member within said body vessel to form a prosthetic valve.

Optionally, one or more elements can extend from the support frame/leaf structure to provide centering support and/or protection from the leaflet adhering to the vessel wall. In one embodiment, the centering support structure comprises a second or third expandable frames attached to and extending from the proximal and/or distal ends of main valve structure and support frame. In another embodiment, one or more support elements extend outward from the valve support frame to engage the vessel wall to provide greater longitudinal stability.

摘要： The present invention provides a removable vena cava filter for capturing thrombi in a blood vessel. The filter comprises a plurality of primary struts having first ends attached together along a longitudinal axis. Each primary strut includes an arcuate segment having a first tensile strength. The arcuate segment extends from the first end to an anchoring hook. The anchoring hook is integral with the arcuate segment and having the first thickness and first tensile strength. The filter further comprises a plurality of secondary struts freely spaced between the primary struts and having connected ends attached together along the longitudinal axis. Each secondary strut freely extends from the connected end to a free end avoiding contact with other secondary struts and primary struts. Each secondary strut has a second tensile strength.
