摘要： A gasket for use in a syringe has a core part and a coating layer formed on the core part at least a portion thereof which contacts the syringe. In a portion where the coating layer is formed, an outer surface of the core part is not exposed, and an outer surface layer of the core part is formed of the coating layer. The coating layer is an elastic solidified material layer made of a silicone-based resin composition. In an enlarged image of the coating layer observed in an axial section of the gasket by using a transmission electron microscope, the coating layer has island-shaped solidified parts and sea-like solidified parts each positioned between the island-shaped solidified parts and linking the island-shaped solidified parts to each other and does not substantially have pin holes. The island-shaped solidified part is composed mainly of aggregates of reactive silicone.

The seal cap is formed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing as its main component a mixture of a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer and a softener, for hydrocarbon-based rubber, which has a kinematic viscosity of 1 to 5,000 mm2s−1 at 100 degrees C. and a naphthenic carbon ratio (% CN) of not more than 20% when said naphthenic carbon ratio is measured by ring analysis.

摘要： A syringe assembly of the present invention is composed of an outer cylinder and a seal cap. The outer cylinder has an outer cylinder body part, a piercing needle mounting part, and a piercing needle fixed to the piercing needle mounting part. The seal cap has a closed distal end part, an open proximal end part, a piercing needle mounting part-accommodating part accommodating a distal end portion of the piercing needle mounting part, a piercing needle accommodating part, and a pierceable part into which the piercing needle tip is pierceable. A polyparaxylylene coating is provided on an inner surface of the piercing needle mounting part-accommodating part of the seal cap or on an outer surface of the piercing needle mounting part of the outer cylinder. The inner surface of the piercing needle mounting part-accommodating part of the seal cap and the outer surface of the piercing needle mounting part of the outer cylinder are kept in close contact with each other through the polyparaxylylene coating.

摘要： An assembly of the present invention for a syringe includes a piercing needle-attached barrel having a barrel body and a hollow piercing needle fixed to the barrel body and a seal cap for sealing a piercing needle tip. The seal cap has a hollow part and a pierceable part into which the piercing needle tip inserted into the hollow part can be pierced. The seal cap is water vapor permeable and placed in a state in which the piercing needle tip has been pierced into the pierceable part. At least the pierceable part of the seal cap is formed of an elastic material containing silicone rubber as a main material thereof, silicone particles, and a lubricant.
