    • A receiver for a spread spectrum communication system includes an acquiring circuit that periodically acquires a plurality of signals received via a plurality of paths from a transmitter. The receiver also includes a plurality of tracking circuits that track the synchronization of a predetermined number of signals among the plurality of signals acquired by the acquiring circuit. The receiver additionally includes a judging circuit that judges whether present and past propagation conditions of the predetermined signals tracked by the plurality of tracking circuits are good or bad. A selecting circuit is included in the receiver to select the predetermined number of signals from the plurality of signals acquired by the acquiring circuit, based upon the present and past propagation conditions of the signals judged by the judging circuit, to allow the plurality of tracking circuits to track the predetermined number of signals selected by the selecting circuit.

    • For preventing a fall board of a keyboard instrument from crashing against a key slip of the keyboard instrument, there is disclosed a fall board assembly comprising (a) a fall board having a boss portion and a covering plate portion extending from the boss portion and (b) a pair of rotary dampers provided between the boss portion of the fall board and side arms of the keyboard instrument, respectively, and operative to allow the fall board to move between first and second angular positions, and the keyboard is covered with the covering plate portion of the fall board in the first angular position but exposed to a player in the second angular position, wherein the rotary dampers produce a damping effect against the rotation of the fall board when the fall board rotates from the second angular position to the first angular position.

    • To automate positioning operation of an X-ray tube so as to reduce the inspection time. Anatomical program selection means selects a surgery method/imaging object portion so that an imaging condition stored as an anatomical program in advance is called out and set in an X-ray generation device. Here, when an operation switch is pressed, control means moves drive means built in X-ray irradiation means parallel movement holding means and X-ray irradiation means rotation holding means so as to obtain the positional relationship between an X-ray tube and an FPD stored in correspondence with the anatomical program (such as SID and incident angle). The position of the FPD should be matched with the examinee. However, since the positional relationship between the X-ray tube and the FPD is almost constant in accordance with the surgery method/imaging object portion, it is possible to reduce the time required for positioning the X-ray tube by using this configuration.
