摘要： An image-capturing apparatus is capable of capturing a three-dimensional image and a high quality panoramic image as the need arises, and is portable if it is used as a single lens camera that captures a normal two-dimensional image. A second image-capturing unit having an image-capturing optical system is detachably connected to a first image-capturing unit, which is capable of functioning as an image-capturing apparatus by itself, through joints and a connector. The second image-capturing unit can extensively connect to other units, which have the similar connecting structure. Information is transmitted between the units through a slot for an external storage device. There is provided a means for adjusting the positions of images captured by the second and subsequent image-capturing units with respect to an image captured by the first image-capturing unit. In synchronism with release signals from the first image-capturing unit, the other units are driven to capture the images at the same time or continuously.

摘要： A camera for shooting a movie picture and a still picture has a casing in which a pair of imaging optical systems for shooting a still picture and a movie picture, respectively are opened in a front surface of the casing. A functional section for shooting a still picture is disposed in the proximity of the imaging optical system for shooting a still picture, circuits and mechanisms necessary to shoot a movie picture are located in the rear side of the imaging optical system for shooting a movie picture, and a video tape recording mechanism and circuits related thereto are arranged at the back of the functional section for shooting a still picture. Consequently, a movie picture and a still picture can be shot at the same time. Since a film can be loaded in and removed from the camera through the upper surface of the casing, a statisfactory operability is attained. Furthermore, the casing is provided with a cap covering the upper surface of the casing and hence the casing has an improved strength and effectively prevents water and dust.
