摘要： A saddle riding type vehicle includes a vehicle body frame 4 constituting the vehicle, a front wheel disposed steerably on the vehicle body frame 4, a steering shaft 27 transmitting a steering input from a rider to the front wheel, and a steering damper 36 giving a steering mechanism 57 an attenuation force relative to rotation of the steering shaft 27. The steering damper 36 includes a damper case 72, a vane rotatable in the damper case 72, and an arm 73 directly connected to the vane and extending to an outside of the damper case 72. The damper case 72 is disposed between an upper steering shaft 27a and a lower steering shaft 27b to form part of the steering shaft 27, and the arm 73 is directly connected to the vehicle body frame 4.

摘要： An electric power steering apparatus includes a steering shaft for transmitting a steering force of a steering handlebar to a wheel and an upper bearing provided at a location upward from a vehicle body frame so as to rotatably support an upper part of the steering shaft. A lower bearing is provided at a location downward from the vehicle body frame, so as to rotatably support a lower part of the steering shaft. A torque sensor detects a torsional torque applied to the steering shaft. An electric motor imparts a steering force to the steering shaft based on the torsional torque detected by the torque sensor. The electric motor is mounted to the steering shaft between the upper bearing and the lower bearing, while the torque sensor is mounted to the steering shaft at place upward from the upper bearing.

摘要： A system for performing posture control of a motorcycle is such that in outputting a synthesized output by adjusting a yaw direction output and a roll direction output outputted from a displacement detection sensor by an adjustment part respectively, a synthesized output in which the yaw direction output is larger than the roll direction output is outputted when a vehicle speed is low, and a synthesized output in which the roll direction output is larger than the yaw direction output is outputted when the vehicle speed is high. Accordingly, in either a case where the vehicle is traveling at a low speed or a case where the vehicle is traveling at a high speed, the displacement and the behavior of a motorcycle 10 can be detected with high accuracy thus eventually realizing a control of the posture of the motorcycle 10 with high accuracy.
