摘要： An optical bus system comprising an optical bus is furnished, along two opposed edges, with a plurality of signal light input/output portions for inputting and outputting signal light to and from the bus. Any one of the signal light input/output portions on one edge of the bus inputs signal light thereto and propagates the light to the opposite edge at which another signal light input/output portion outputs the propagated signal light from the bus. The system also comprises a plurality of light emitting/receiving circuits corresponding to the signal light input/output portions. Each light emitting/receiving circuit has a signal light sending unit and a signal light receiving unit. The signal light sending unit generates signal light and sends the generated signal light into the optical bus through the corresponding signal light input/output portion. The signal light receiving unit acquires a received light signal upon receipt of the signal light output by the corresponding signal light input/output portion. At least one of the light receiving/emitting circuits on each edge of the optical bus has a repeating or reflecting part that causes the corresponding signal light sending unit to send out the signal light received by the corresponding signal light receiving unit.

摘要： A multifunction system has advanced functions and high speed capability and is excellent in expandability. The multifunction system includes a controller, an IIT, an IOT, and a light distributing device. For a print job, print data outputted from the controller is converted into optical signals, which enter a light distributing device and are transmitted to the IOT of the emission side. The IOT prints the received data onto a printer. For a copy job, copy data outputted from IIT is converted into optical signals, which enter the light distributing device, and are transmitted to the IOT of the emission side. For a scan job, scan data outputted from the scanner is converted into optical signals, which enter the light distributing device, and are transmitted to the controller of the emission side. 摘要： In an optical transmission apparatus in which a plurality of nodes are optically connected to one another via an optical transmission path, a light signal which is coded so that a mixture ratio of 1 and 0 constituting data is made close to 50% is transmitted through the optical transmission path. When a light signal is not emitted from all of the nodes, a dummy signal which is an AC-like signal is emitted to the optical transmission path. Therefore, an optoelectric conversion section can be always set to an active state, and the signal recognizability can be prevented from being lowered.

摘要： A first optical wave guide 36 and a second optical wave guide 40 are connected to both sides of a planer optical waveguide 32, respectively. The other ends 36b, 40b of the first and second optical wave guides 36, 40 are extended over an upper surface 20 of an optical wiring circuit board 18.
