    • A bank note transporting apparatus for transporting externally inserted bank notes is provided in an game machine island in which a plurality of game machines (12) and a plurality of game media lending machines (13) for lending game media used for playing games are disposed. The bank note transporting apparatus comprises a main transporting path (200) provided within the island for transporting bank notes to a destination position and an introducing path (300) disposed in at least one position along the length of the main transporting path for merging bank notes externally inserted into the island to the main transporting path. The main transporting path including an accepting slot (3) for accepting the bank notes from the introducing path. The introducing path including a bank note inserting unit (4) into which the bank notes are externally, inserted and a merging unit (9a) for guiding and transporting the inserted bank notes to the accepting slot. The merging unit including a passage member (6) for transporting the bank notes and a passage frame (9) which is pivotally mounted on one end of the passage member.

    • A bank note conveying apparatus which corrects the skew or the widthwise direction of the bank notes in the conveying path. The bank note conveying apparatus comprises a path forming member which forms a conveying path having a width larger than that of the bank note, and pinching roller mechanisms which send the bank notes in the conveying path in the conveying direction. The path forming member includes a bank note guide formed along one widthwise end of the conveying path. It also comprises a bank note widthwise arranging mechanism which directs the bank notes in the conveying path toward the bank note guide while feeding the bank notes in the conveying direction. The bank note widthwise arranging mechanism comprises an endless belt which is driven to come into contact with one of the two faces of the bank note, and rotatably supported balls which come into contact with the opposite face of the bank note.

    • A game token dispenser is equipped with a token hopper for dispensing, to a token receiving port, a predetermined number of tokens supplied from a token reservoir. The token hopper is divided into a sequentially operating preliminary hopper and a dispensing hopper. The preliminary hopper has a sensor for detecting whether or not there are any tokens received from the reservoir, and a conveying mechanism for conveying the tokens forwardly. The dispensing hopper has a sensor for detecting whether or not there are any tokens received from the preliminary hopper. A discharging mechanism is provided for discharging the tokens one by one to the token receiving port. The dispenser preferably includes a display, on a front surface of a housing, for displaying whether or not it is possible to dispense the tokens and the number of the tokens dispensed. The dispenser preferably also includes a counting sensor disposed in a dispensing path between the dispensing hopper and the token receiving port for counting the tokens dispensed. The dispenser may also include a sensor located adjacent to the token receiving port for detecting whether the tokens overlap one another. This latter sensor may also be capable of sensing whether or not the tokens are stored in the token receiving port for a predetermined time. When the predetermined number of tokens, as counted by the counting sensor, are dispensed, upon detection that the tokens are stored in the token receiving port the dispenser displays an information message such as "now dispensing", and any paper currency can be prohibited from being inserted into the dispenser.

    • A bank note conveying equipment which is capable of preventing a jam during conveyance of bank note caused by damaged bank note and any problems in collecting and storing the bank note in a bank note storing unit. Bank notes are held between a pinch roller and an endless belt on a bank note conveying path, and conveyed along the bank note conveying path according to the rotation of the endless belt.
