    • An ink jet recording apparatus which effects non-impact recording by the application of a jet of ink to a recording medium while the amount of ink to be jetted towards the recording medium is controlled to render it proportional to the recording velocity. For this purpose, the ink jet recording apparatus is provided with a feed-back loop system through which an electrical signal indicative of the pressure acting on the ink within an ink tank is fed back to a comparator to control operation of a compressed air source from which the pressure is applied to compensate for reduction in static pressure of the ink within the ink tank resulting from consumption of the ink. For maintaining the amount of the ink jetted proportional to the recording velocity, various arrangements are disclosed.

    • A microfilm image processing apparatus in which a plurality of zoom lenses having different ranges of magnification are provided in a manner that each of the lenses is movable into and out of a position operative to project a beam of light carrying an image on a microfilm strip onto a target plane, wherein the individual zoom lenses are associated with movable members so that the effective magnification of each of the zoom lenses is variable with movement of the associated movable member, and wherein the movable members are interconnected together and are to be driven for concurrent movement by a driving force having a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction, the driving force having the first direction resulting in movement of one of the zoom lenses in a direction to increase in the magnification of the lens and movement of another lens in a direction to decrease in the magnification of the lens.

    • A reader-printer for copying on a recording paper an image recorded in a microfilm is disclosed, which reader-printer is provided with shutter members capable of intercepting the projected light passing through the part of margin bordering the image. The size of the image in the microfilm is memorized in a memory. The size of the image to be copied and the size of the recording paper on which this image is to be formed are compared based on the ratio of magnification of projection of a projection lens to be used for projecting light through the image on a photosensitive member. The shutter members are driven based on a result of the comparison so that, of the path of the projected light directed to the photosensitive member, the part corresponding to the margin is automatically intercepted by the shutter members.
