摘要： A latching device (1) for vehicles capable of engaging with and disengaging from a rod-like portion (P1) to lock and unlock the latching device (1) includes: a casing (2) at least partly formed by a first member made of a first material and having an insertion groove (2A) for allowing the rod-like portion to be inserted thereinto; and a second member (latch (30) or reinforcement plate (20)) made of a second material and configured to contact the rod-like portion (P1). The second material has a higher specific gravity and a higher modulus of elasticity than the first material. For example, the first material is resin, whereas the second material is metal.

摘要： A side airbag device, provided between a vehicle body and rear seat, includes: a base member having upper and lower base attachment portions, attached to portions of the vehicle body, and a base storage portion that stores an airbag and inflator and is interposed between the base attachment portions in an up to down direction; and a retainer member adapted to hold the base storage portion from the vehicle body rear side. Upper and lower engagement recessed portions located at the retainer member center in the vehicle body width direction are arranged in the up to down direction to be engaged with engagement protruded portions provided at the vehicle body, which is located on the rear side. The base attachment portions are configured so that an imaginary surface passes them and extends in the front to back direction of the vehicle body to pass the upper engagement recessed portion.

The hook-shaped portion 33 includes a first support surface 38A opposed to the rod-shaped portion in the locked state, a protruding portion 37 located in a position closer to a distal end of the hook-shaped portion than the first support surface 38A and configured to protrude relative to the first support surface 38A, and a second support surface 38B provided on the protruding portion 37 and configured to be opposed to the rod-shaped portion. The first support surface 38A and the second support surface 38B are configured to face in different directions, and to thereby be concurrently contactable with the rod-shaped portion.

摘要： A latch device for a vehicle includes an engageable member having an engageable notch engageable with a striker, a shaft member by which the engageable member is rotatably supported, a first body including a first support portion by which one end of the shaft member is supported, and a second body including a coupling portion coupled to the first body, and a second support portion by which another end of the shaft member is supported. The engageable member is rotatable about the shaft member between a first position in which engagement with the striker is achievable and a second position in which disengagement from the striker is permitted. With the first body, an entrance of the engageable notch through which the striker comes in the engageable notch in a state where the engageable member is in the first position is covered from one side in an axial direction of the shaft member. With the second body, the engageable notch in the state where the engageable member is in the first position is not covered, but left uncovered in entirety, from another side in the axial direction of the shaft member.
