    • A system and method for reducing overall connection latencies in a SAS expander is disclosed. The SAS expander includes a plurality of ports and a route lookup table configured for providing a central resource for routing information for the ports. The SAS expander also includes a plurality of connection history caches (CHCs) associated with the ports, each CHC is configured for storing at least one successfully established connection record. Upon receiving a connection request at a particular port, that particular port may determine whether a matching connection record for the connection request is stored in its corresponding CHC. If the matching connection record is stored in its corresponding CHC, a connection may be established in response to the connection request based on the matching connection record. However, if no matching connection record is found in its corresponding CHC, the connection may be established utilizing the route lookup table.

    • The method and system disclosed herein publishes user created multimedia content including voice, video, text, pictures, and a combination thereof on one or more publication virtual spaces, simultaneously. A client application, provided on a mobile device, creates and transfers the multimedia content to a publishing service. A protocol is provided for synchronizing user preferences of the publication virtual spaces between the client application and the publishing service. The multimedia content may be transferred as a single multimedia file, data segments, or electronic mail attachments to a back end service of the publishing service via a front end service. The back end service creates a multimedia object from the transferred multimedia content. The back end service splices targeted advertisements with the multimedia object. The multimedia object is transferred from the back end service to the front end service and then published on the publication virtual spaces chosen by the user.

    • The method and system disclosed herein enables non-spamming dissemination of environment and proximity aware information and advertisements to a user of a mobile device. The method disclosed herein provides a client application on the mobile device. The client application detects the presence of base station sensor devices in proximity to the user. Service offerings information of vendors is then transferred to the client application. The client application categorizes the service offerings information into multiple categories. The client application communicates with the base station sensor devices to receive business information and advertisements of the vendors based on categories selected by the user. Environmental sensors capture environmental data of a region surrounding the base station sensor devices. The business information and advertisements are correlated with the environmental data and local time data. The correlated information and advertisements are then transferred to the client application.
