摘要： In a battery pack, a plurality of batter modules provided with safety vents for discharging gas are arranged in parallel. A gas discharging device is provided in which discharge outlets of the safety vents of the respective battery modules are connected to at least one discharge gas tube installed in the alignment direction of the battery modules and connected to an external discharging section. The battery modules are connected in a manner that changes in the intervals between the discharge outlets of respective safety vents, due to expansion of the battery modules, are absorbed by expansion or displacement of theat least one discharge gas tube.

A plurality of restraining straps are arranged at suitable intervals on the long side face of a battery pack and the restraining straps are constituted of at least one strip of rectangular cross-sectional shape or by round rods or pipe members of circular cross-sectional shape whose dimension in the direction perpendicular to the long side face of battery pack is larger than the dimension in the parallel direction.

摘要： In a battery pack including a plurality of prismatic rechargeable batteries arranged in parallel with ventilation spaces being provided therebetween, the battery pack is constituted so that cooling air is downwardly sent from above the battery pack through the ventilation spaces. In accordance with a temperature detected with a temperature detection sensor attached to the lower end of the rechargeable battery, a blower fan is controlled by a control section. Moreover, a sensor placement concave, which is separated from a space inside a battery case through a thin partition wall, is provided on a bottom wall of the battery case of the rechargeable battery. The temperature detection sensor is placed in the sensor placement concave so as to be pressed against the partition wall.

摘要： A battery pack includes a plurality of prismatic batteries including an electrode plate group and electrolyte housed in a prismatic battery case and being arranged in parallel and integrally bound. A metal plate is integrally embedded in the sidewall of the prismatic battery which is in parallel with the electrode plate group. A heat transfer part protruding from the prismatic battery case is provided at least one side of the metal plate. A heat exchanger is provided such that a heat exchanging surface of the heat exchanger is brought into contact with the heat transfer part protruding from the prismatic battery case of the prismatic battery. Then, the battery pack and the heat exchanger are fixed.

A large number of projections are formed dispersedly on both side faces of the battery module for forming coolant passages between two battery modules when butted with corresponding plurality of projections formed on both sides of an adjacent battery module. The height of the projections positioned opposite the partitions in the integral battery case is set lower than the height of the other projections.

摘要： A prismatic sealed rechargeable battery includes a substantially prismatic battery case that accommodates an electrode plate assembly and an electrolyte solution. The battery case is formed of metal. On a side face of the battery case, a thin plate is provided which has a plurality of protruding portions formed in parallel at appropriate intervals. The protruding portion and the side face form spaces opened at both ends therebetween. The thin plate is bonded to the side face of the battery case by making flat portions between the protruding portions into surface-contact with the side face, thereby improving cooling capability of the battery.
