The push switch is activated upon pressed with the touch panel. The control section detects a position on the upper surface of the electrostatic touch panel where the user touches. The transmitter transmits the remote control signal according to the detected position and an activation of the push switch. This remote controller operates remotely control an electronic device reliably without malfunctioning.
