摘要： In an optical disc player in which a reading light beam is caused to impinge on an optical disc having a record track formed with an alignment of geometric variations such as a plurality of pits provided in response to information to be modulated in intensity by the record track and a photodetector is provided for detecting the reading light beam coming from the optical disc to generate an output varying in response to the variations in intensity of the detected reading light beam; there are provided a first circuit for producing a reproduced information signal having level variations representing the geometric variations and a tracking error signal which may have level variations depending on the size of each segment of the geometric variations on the strength of the output of the photodetector, a second circuit for detecting the duration of a portion corresponding to each segment of the geometric variations of the reproduced information signal or output of the photodetector and extracting selectively the level of the tracking error signal whenever the detected duration is measured within a predetermined time range so as to produce a modified tracking error signal having the extracted level, and a control circuit for performing tracking control in relation to the reading light beam in response to the modified tracking error signal.

摘要： A track-jump device for a disc drive apparatus for jump from one track to a neighboring track on a disc-like recording medium. A tracking error signal S.sub.TE, an on-track signal S.sub.OT whose phase is deviated by 90.degree. relative to the tracking error signal according to displacement in the direction of track width and which exhibits a peak value when it is on the track, a signal S.sub.TE having a phase opposite to the tracking error signal, and signal S.sub.OT having a phase opposite to the on-track signal are successively switched by a switch (20) and are sent to a tracking drive circuit (27) to effect the track-jump. The servo operation is continued even during the track-jump, and the servo loop is not interrupted. Therefore, track-jump is effected while maintaining advantage in regard to safety, reproducibility, and compatability of pickups.

摘要： A track-jump device for a disc drive apparatus for jump from one track to a neighboring track on a disc-like recording medium. 摘要： In an optical disk information recording and reproducing apparatus for writing and reading information to and from the optical disk using the optical disk as a record medium on which pre-grooves are formed and address signals are prerecorded on land sections among these pre-grooves presenting physical changes in the form, a servo circuit therein for executing tracking and/or focusing control is disclosed. In the servo circuit, by providing a switch for opening and closing control loops for said tracking and focusing control and by controlling said switch to open during reproduction of the address signals recorded on the address area of the optical disk, servo signals including noise due to pits presenting physical changes in the form on the address area are eliminated so as to establish tracking and/or focusing control. This serves to enable information writing and reading to and from the record area of the optical disk with high reliability and stability.
