摘要： Provided is a content sharing system including a plurality of first information processing apparatuses that are each operated by a player who operates content, and displays same content, one or more second information processing apparatuses that are each operated by an audience member viewing operation details of a player on the content and displays the content that is displayed at the first information processing apparatuses simultaneously with the first information processing apparatuses, and a server device for relaying information between the first information processing apparatuses and the second information processing apparatuses. When a predetermined condition is reached, the first information processing apparatuses start display of content same as the second information processing apparatuses, and the second information processing apparatuses each simultaneously display, including the operation details of the player, content same as the content displayed by the first information processing apparatuses.

摘要： Information processing methods to make it possible to reserve recording of a program without imposing a large burden on a user. A server transmits program attribute information to a video recording and reproducing apparatus via a network. The program attribute information includes program attribute names and program attribute retrieval conditions. The video recording and reproducing apparatus causes a display apparatus to display a list of the program attribute names. The user selects from the list a program attribute name to which a program that the user wishes to reserve for recording seems to be most closely related. The video recording and reproducing apparatus compares the retrieval conditions corresponding to the selected program attribute name and EPG (electronic program guide) information and, when the retrieval conditions are satisfied, records a program represented by the EPG in a recording reservation list. The methods can be applied to a hard disk video recorder.

摘要： A graphical user interface is disclosed which achieves an easy search for a desired item upon scrolling. A plurality of representation images individually representing different selection object items are displayed in an array along one direction of a display screen. A noticed representation image selected from among the representation images is displayed emphatically at a fixed position on the display screen, and explanation information of the noticed representation image is displayed in the proximity of the noticed representation image. If a scrolling information for the array of representation images is issued, then scrolling is executed such that explanation information also of the representation images other than the noticed representation image is displayed. Further, a bar display including a mark representing the position and the group of the noticed representation image in the array of representation images is displayed together.
