    • A memory device includes two electrodes, vertically separated and having mutually opposed contact surfaces, between which lies a phase change cell. The phase change cell includes an upper phase change member, having a contact surface in electrical contact with the first electrode; a lower phase change member, having a contact surface in electrical contact with the second electrode; and a kernel member disposed between and in electrical contact with the upper and lower phase change members. The phase change cell is formed of material having at least two solid phases, and the lateral extent of the upper and lower phase change members is substantially greater than that of the kernel member.     • An improved bearing for a heat dissipation fan has an oil chamber for containing lubricant. The oil chamber has a sidewall extending between one open end and one closed end. The closed end is perforated with a through hole, and an edge of the sidewall at the open end is partially recessed to form at least one notch. An external surface of the sidewall is partially recessed along an elongate direction to form at least one oil slot aligned with the notch, the recessed external sidewall is further perforated with a through hole. An O-ring is disposed adjacent to the closed end of the oil chamber. The O-ring has an aperture aligned with the through hole of the closed end. An axial column is inserted into the oil chamber through the aperture of the O-ring and the through hole of the closed end. An external sleeve is used for receiving the oil chamber therein. The central axis column is operative to rotate within the oil chamber, such that the lubricant contained in the oil chamber is driven to flow upwardly through the notch into the oil slot. The axial column is so configured to prevent the lubricant from flowing external to the oil chamber via the through hole of the closed end.

    • A wind power generator includes a cover, a front nose cone, a rear nose cone and a vane unit. The cover has a curved air-guiding portion. The front nose cone and the rear nose cone have a plurality of supporting pillars fixedly connected to the front portion and rear portion of the inner wall of the cover, respectively. The vane unit is provided between the front nose cone and the rear nose cone. After the wind enters the passage formed between the curved surface of the front nose cone and the front portion of the curved air-guiding portion of the cover, the wind speed is accelerated due to the narrowing of the flowing path, thereby to generate a larger kinetic energy to cause the rotation of the vane unit. In this way, the generator within the rear nose cone obtains a greater capacity of generating electricity. Further, the generator can be still activated even under a lower wind speed.

    • An optical mouse system with an illumination guide includes a concave lens for spreading light to create a uniform, low contrast, illumination pattern. The uniform illumination pattern increases the accuracy of mouse movement detected by the sensor. The illumination source and optical sensor are mounted in the same plane, directly on the PCB. The higher angle of the optical path causes more light to be reflected to the optical sensor, increasing optical efficiency and allowing a smaller, lower powered LED to be used. This also results in increased sensitivity of the optical sensor. Lower power usage increases battery life for mobile or wireless-mouse use, while reducing thermal waste considerations. This allows the creation of a significantly smaller form factor for the overall package, thereby reducing materials costs and giving designers more flexibility for external design considerations.
