摘要： A gas-mixture-ignition-time estimation apparatus for an internal combustion engine estimates the temperature of a premixed gas mixture for PCCI combustion (i.e., cylinder interior temperature Tg), while relating it to the angle CA, on the basis of a state quantity of the cylinder interior gas at the time of start of compression (CAin) (heat energy of the cylinder interior gas at the time of start of compression), the amount of a change in the state quantity of the cylinder interior gas attributable to compression in a compression stroke (minute piston work), and the heat generation quantity of a cool flame generated in PCCI combustion prior to autoignition (hot flame) (cool flame heat generation quantity Aqlto). A time when the cylinder interior temperature Tg reaches a predetermined autoignition start temperature Tig is estimated as an autoignition start time (Caig) of the premixed gas mixture related to PCCI combustion. Since the cool flame heat generation quantity Oqlto is taken into consideration, the autoignition start time related to PCCI combustion can be estimated accurately.

The temperature sensation is accurately estimated according to the hysteresis of the information about the temperature sensation, and the room or compartment is air-conditioned according to the estimated sensation.

摘要： An exhaust gas control apparatus includes a control device controlling a urea addition valve for adding urea from an upstream side of a NOx reduction catalyst. The control device obtains an ammonia adsorption amount distribution through the NOx reduction catalyst. When an ammonia adsorption amount in a predetermined part on a downstream side equals or exceeds a predetermined threshold, the control device controls the urea addition valve to stop the urea supply or reduce the amount thereof. The urea addition valve is controlled based on an adsorption amount distribution obtained from a model on which the catalyst is divided into cells such that an ammonia adsorption amount in a first cell positioned furthest upstream equals or exceeds a predetermined threshold close to a saturation adsorption amount and an ammonia adsorption amount in a second cell positioned downstream of the first cell reaches a predetermined target value smaller than the threshold.

摘要： An exhaust gas control apparatus includes a control device controlling a urea addition valve for adding urea from an upstream side of a NOx reduction catalyst. The control device obtains an ammonia adsorption amount distribution through the NOx reduction catalyst. 摘要： An apparatus for predicting and discriminating whether or not misfire, knocking and the like will occur from the cylinder pressure before the occurrence of the misfire, the knocking and the like by the use of a three layered neural network. The cylinder pressure signal detected by a cylinder pressure sensor is sampled and input to each of the elements of the input layer. The signal then is modulated corresponding to the strength (weight) of the connection between each of the elements, and transmitted to the hidden and output layers. The magnitude of signal from the elements of the output layer represents the prediction and discrimination results. The weight is learned and determined by a back propagation method.
