    • A kit for producing bone cement includes at least one paste A and one paste B. Paste A contains at least one monomer (a1) for radical polymerization; at least one polymer (a2) insoluble in monomer (a1); at least one polymer (a3) soluble in monomer (a1); and at least one radical polymerization initiator (a4). The weight ratio of the at least one polymer (a2) to the at least one polymer (a3) is at least 2 to 1. Paste B contains at least one monomer (b1) for radical polymerization; at least one polymer (b2) and at least one accelerator (b3) soluble in monomer (b1); and optionally a polymer (b4) insoluble in monomer (b1). The maximum quantity of polymer (b4) is 5% by weight, relative to the total weight of paste B. The weight ratio of polymer (b4) to the at least one polymer (b2) is no more than 0.2.

    • A bone cement system (100) is provided having a mixing facility (10) for mixing and dispensing of bone cement, a reservoir container (112) for a monomer, and a conveyor (122). The mixing facility (10) has a mixing cylinder (20), which stores a bone cement powder. The monomer can be conveyed from the reservoir container (112) into the mixing cylinder (20) by the conveyor (122). A sieve element is (4) is arranged between the reservoir container (112) and the mixing facility (10), in order to preventingress of the bone cement powder from the mixing cylinder (20) into the conveyor (122). The mixing device (10) included a dispensing opening (23) for dispensing a bone cement mixed from the bone cement powder and the monomer. The dispensing opening (23) includes a shield (1) having at least one through-opening (2). The ratio of the area of the through-opening (2) to the area of the sieve element (4) is at least 1 to 3, and the distance between the shield (1) and the sieve element (4) is at least 1 mm.

    • What is described are sporicidal compositions, in which hydrogen peroxide and at least one radical stabilizer are homogeneously dissolved in a methacrylate monomer or a mixture of methacrylate monomers, and the quantitative ratio of radical stabilizer to hydrogen peroxide is larger than or equal to 1 to 1. Moreover, a sporicidal cement paste having the following components is proposed: hydrogen peroxide and/or a hydrogen peroxide-releasing substance or mixture of substances; radical stabilizer; low-molecular liquid methacrylate; linear or branched polymethylmethacrylate or linear or branched methylmethacrylate co-polymer; cross-linked polymethylmethacrylate or cross-linked methylmethacrylate copolymer; as well as at least one component of a radical initiator system.
