    • An apparatus for manufacturing a display device that includes a driving device and a communication line connected to the driving device is presented. The apparatus includes: an image signal creating unit that creates image signals and transmits the image signals to the display device; a plurality of optical sensors receiving light emitted from the display device and generating sensing signals; another communication line that is connectable to the first communication line; and a signal processing unit that controls the image signal creating unit, receives the sensing signal, performs a predetermined process to create driving data for the display device, and transmits the driving data to the driving devices through the communication lines. With the appratus, it is possible to optimize driving data for the display device while taking a characteristic deviation of the display device into account.

    • In an interface device between a connector and a digital serial bus, a control device for a display apparatus and an integrated circuit chip, the interface device includes a non-connection pin connecting circuit and a ground pin connecting circuit. The non-connection pin connecting circuit electrically connects a non-connection pin of a connector to a first line of a digital serial bus. The ground pin connecting circuit receives a control signal applied to the ground pin connecting circuit through a first ground pin of the connector. The ground pin connecting circuit controls electrical connection between a second ground pin of the connector and a second line of the digital serial bus in response to the control signal. Therefore, a structure of the interface device is simplified.

    • A driving apparatus for a display device includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, and each pixel includes first and second sub-pixels. The driving apparatus includes a memory for storing digital data, a controller for calling the digital data to output the digital data together with a clock signal and at least one selection signal, and a gray voltage generator formed of an integrated circuit to receive the digital data from the controller and to generate gray reference voltage sets. The gray voltage generator includes first and second registers for storing the digital data, a selector including a plurality of multiplexers for receiving the outputs of the first and second registers, and a converter including a plurality of digital-analog converters connected to the multiplexers. As described above, the gray voltage generator is provided in the form of a chip so that it is possible to reduce the area occupied on a printed circuit board (PCB) and to reduce the cost of the gray voltage generator.
