摘要： Provided is a geographic information transceiving system and method using a digital broadcasting network. The system and method segments new geographic and map data of a region, on which a geographic information service is provided, makes data segment files of different sizes, and multiplexes and transmits the files. A geographic information transmitting system includes: a geographic information collector for receiving real-time geographic information and real-time traffic information; a geographic information processor for extracting/processing local geographic information and local traffic information from the geographic information collecting means and outputting whole area information, geographic information and traffic information for a plurality of resolution levels; a digital broadcasting unit for converting and transmitting the geographic information/traffic information data in conformity to digital broadcast signals; a geographic information multiplexer for multiplexing the geographic information/traffic information data; and a transmitter for transmitting the multiplexed geographic information/traffic information data to a corresponding region.

摘要： Provided is a system and method for transmitting and receiving 3D video based on digital broadcasting. The system includes: an encoder for generating 2D ES and 3D supplementary ES by encoding 2D video and 3D supplementary data; a packetizer for generating 2D video PES and 3D supplementary PES by packetizing the 2D video ES and the 3D supplementary ES; a PSI generator for generating a PSI; a TS generator for generating 2D video TS and 3D supplementary TS for the 2D video PES and the 3D supplementary PES; a multiplexer for multiplexing the transport streams to transmit the 2D video TS as a normal stream and transmit the 3D supplementary TS, the PSI TS and 3D video synch data TS as robust stream; and a modulator for modulating the multiplexed TS according to a DTV specification and transmitting the modulated TS.

摘要： Provided are a contents generating apparatus that can support functions of moving object substitution, depth-based object insertion, background image substitution, and view offering upon a user request and provide realistic image by applying lighting information applied to a real image to computer graphics object when a real image is composited with computer graphics object, and a contents generating method thereof. The apparatus includes: a preprocessing block, a camera calibration block, a scene model generating block, an object extracting/tracing block, a real image/computer graphics object compositing block, an image generating block, and the user interface block. The present invention can provide diverse production methods such as testing for the optimal camera viewpoint and scenic structure before contents are actually authored and compositing two different scenes taken in different places into one scene based on a concept of a three-dimensional virtual studio in the respect of a contents producer.

摘要： Provided is a system and method for broadcasting stereoscopic video data to users on the Internet based on Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG)-4. The system includes: an encoding server for receiving stereoscopic video data, audio data, and Object Descriptor/Binary Format for Scene (OD/BIFS), which is information for controlling a content, and encoding the data into elementary stream (ES) having an MPEG-4 structure; a web server for receiving from the client any one among two-dimensional video display mode, field-shuttering video display mode and frame-shuttering video display mode; and a streaming server for generating a RTP (RTP) packet for real-time data transmission on the Internet by multiplexing the ES based on the display mode inputted into the web server, and transmitting the RTP packet to the client.
