    • A digital photo frame (DPF) capable of automatically changing display mode is provided. The DPF includes a display unit, a motion detector, a processing unit, and a storage unit. The motion detector is configured to detect whether there is someone around the DPF, and produce a display switching signal if someone is around the DPF. The processing unit detects current display mode when it receives the display switching signal and change the display mode of the DPF to a slide show mode if current display mode is a still mode. The motion detector also produce a stop signal when it detects nobody around the DPF, the processing unit controls the display unit to display the pictures in the still mode when it receives the stop signal and detects current display mode is the slide show mode.

    • A digital photo frame (DPF) capable of indicating battery is provided. The DPF includes a light-emitting diode (LED) unit, a battery, a battery detection unit, a processing unit, and a display control unit. The battery detection unit is connected to the battery and is configured to detect the charge of the battery and output a low battery alarm signal when the charge of the battery is below a predetermined value. The processing unit is connected to the battery detection unit, and is configured to producing a control signal when receiving the low battery alarm signal. The display control unit is connected to the processing unit and the LED unit, and is configured to control the LED unit to change its display state when receiving the control signal.

    • A method for making a field emission lamp generally includes the steps of: (a) providing a cathode emitter; (b) providing a transparent glass tube having a carbon nanotube transparent conductive film and a fluorescent layer, the carbon nanotube transparent conductive film and the fluorescent layer both disposed on an inner surface of the transparent glass tube; (c) providing a first glass feedthrough and a second glass feedthrough, the first glass feedthrough having an anode down-lead pad, an anode down-lead pole connected to the anode down-lead pad, the second glass feedthrough having a cathode down-lead pole and a nickel pipe for securing one end of the cathode emitter; (d) securing the other end of the cathode emitter to one end of the cathode down-lead pole on the second glass feedthrough; (e) melting and assembling the first and second glass feedthroughs to ends of the glass tube respectively.
