摘要： A fiber optic connector system includes male and female mating connectors for interconnecting a pair of optical fibers each having a central core and an outer jacket. Each connector includes a housing adapted for receiving an end of one of the optical fibers and for mating with the other connector. Each connector housing is a plastic structure overmolded about the outer jacket of its respective optical fiber in an area at the end of the fiber. The outer jacket of the fiber has circumferential grooves into which the overmolded material of the connector housing extends for axially retaining the overmolded housing on the fiber. A band-like locking clip surrounds telescoped portions of the male and female connectors. The locking clip has a radially inwardly projecting locking tab extending into aligned apertures in the telescoped mating portions when the connectors are mated.

The wire seal cover further includes a shroud for protecting the actuator of the latch. However, at least a portion of the shroud on the wire seal cover is open to enable actuation of the latch for unmating the connector.

A cover is hingedly connected to the housing for movement from an open position to a closed position, with the cover and the housing having respective juxtaposed walls bounding at least one lateral side of the passage when the cover is in its closed position. Complementary laterally engaging latches are provided between the juxtaposed walls to hold the cover in its closed position. The wall of the cover is juxtaposed inside the wall of the housing in a lateral direction. Therefore, lateral forces on the terminal biases the wall of the cover outwardly toward the wall of the housing to ensure engagement of the laterally engaging latches.

摘要： A multi-terminal filtered electrical connector assembly includes a housing having a plurality of terminal-receiving passageways. A plurality of terminals are received in the passageways, with tail portions of the terminals projecting from the housing. A terminal alignment plate, independent of the housing, includes a plurality of through holes for receiving and aligning the tail portions of the terminals. First complementary interengaging latch devices are provided between the housing and the alignment plate for readily assembling the alignment plate on the housing. A ferrite block is mountable on the alignment plate and includes a plurality of through holes alignable with the holes in the alignment plate for receiving therethrough the tail portions of the terminals. Second complementary interengaging latch devices are provided between the alignment plate and the ferrite block for readily assembling the ferrite block on the alignment plate. Therefore, the alignment plate and the ferrite block can be assembled as a subassembly about the tail portions of the terminals, and the subassembly can be readily assembled to the housing. A flexible capacitor filter circuit is mounted on a rear face of the housing and through which filters the terminals extend.

A flat flexible circuit is mounted against the face of the housing and includes a ground plane on a side thereof facing the housing. The circuit has a hole for receiving the integral pin of the housing. The ground plane is of a second metal material different from that of the housing. An omni-directional conductive adhesive is deposited on the ground plane over the area of the hole to expand the conductive interface between the metal housing and the metal ground plane. Preferably, the conductive adhesive includes abrasive grain-like particles.
