摘要： A surgical knot pusher and method for use thereof to facilitate the tying of surgical sutures at remote sites within the body during endoscopic surgery and other minimally invasive surgical procedures, the knot pusher having a tubular, elongated housing having a passage defining a rod axis therethrough, a suture receiving tip forming a J-shaped hook defining a gap, a drive rod slidably disposed within the passage of the housing and extending substantially co-axial to the rod axis of the housing, wherein the drive rod is connected to the tip so that said tip is selectively operable between an open position, wherein axial movement of the drive rod relative to the housing causes a portion of the tip to extend beyond the distal end of the housing so that a length of suture may be inserted therein the gap of the hook of the tip, and a closed position, wherein axial movement of the drive rod relative to the housing causes the tip to be received within the passage of the housing proximate the distal end of the housing so that an eyelet having an aperture for releasably capturing the first length of the suture is formed, and a knot pushing surface formed from the exterior surface of the tip.

摘要： A diaphragm type fluid pressure gauge comprises a case formed of an injection molded thermoplastic. The bottom wall of the case selectively defines a rear axial fluid connection or a radial fluid connection to a fluid chamber defined within the case. The fluid chamber is closed by a diaphragm which is clamped against an annular radial surface in the case by a thermoplastic ring which is melt-welded to the case. The other face of the ring provides a mounting for a movement mechanism for driving a pointer in response to axial displacement of the diaphragm.

摘要： A surgical device and end effector connection system therefor include an easy-to-engage mechanism for connecting a handle/shaft/actuation rod unit to an end effector. This mechanism may utilize an axially engageable inner ball/socket inner connection with a threaded outer connection, or an inner bayonet connection with either an outer bayonet connection or an outer threaded connection. In each of the embodiments, an outer portion of the end effector preferably is statically engaged with the shaft, and an inner portion of the end effector is engaged with the actuation rod such that axial movement of the actuation rod can actuate a tool end of the end effector. The present invention further relates to methods of use for the laparoscopy device.
