摘要： A cable lock device includes a housing, a tampering subsystem, and a cable having a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to the housing and is electrically connected to the tampering subsystem and the second end is selectively attached to the housing. In addition, a switch is disposed within the housing and is electrically connected to the tampering subsystem. The switch is movable between an open state and a closed state to indicate when the second end is attached to the housing. The tampering subsystem includes control circuitry that monitors the position of the switch and the status of the cable to detect removal of the second end from the housing and/or severance of the cable. The control circuitry relays status information of the cable lock device to a control unit via a transmitter to alert a property owner of a security breach.

A first part of the sidewall of the base proximate to the supporting lip has a first slot extending through the sidewall. The supporting lip extends over the first slot and at least partially conceals the first slot from being externally viewed. The container also includes a cover which has a lower end and a sidewall and which is releasably positioned on the supporting lip. The lower end of the cover member surrounds the sidewall of the base. A plumbing plunger is removably stored within the decorative container.

摘要： A housing having an integral receptacle which is particularly useful for pencil sharpeners. The receptacle is attached to the body so as to be pivotable between a closed position, for closing a cavity of the housing, and an open position, for exposing the cavity. This is useful, for example, for emptying pencil shavings in a pencil sharpener. Attachment of the receptacle to the housing minimizes accidental opening of the receptacle and spillage of shavings. In the open position, the receptacle also serves as a spout for controlled disposal of shavings. In the preferred embodiment, the housing and receptacle have a mating rib and groove on opposing sides of the cavity which interfit when the receptacle is in the closed position to form a seal trap shavings within the cavity. Additionally, the receptacle is provided with a lower surface and rearward edge positioned to form a seal with the housing when the cover is in the closed and open positions, respectively. The receptacle may be provided with an interlock trigger for engaging and disengaging an interlock switch in the housing to prevent operation of the cutting assembly of a pencil sharpener when the receptacle is in an open position.

The shieldable needle device includes a hub having a lever extending from an external surface thereof, and a needle cannula with a puncture tip extending from said hub. The hub is interengaged with a housing having a main body portion with the needle cannula extending through a forward opening therein, and a rearward extension with a longitudinal slot extending axially therealong between a forward slot end and a rearward slot end, such that the lever of the hub extends through the longitudinal slot and is locked at the forward slot end thereof. The housing also includes a tip guard within the main body portion which is axially movable along the needle cannula. The lever is radially movable with respect to a longitudinal axis of the needle device to unlock the lever from the forward slot end, and is axially movable toward the rearward slot end to cause axial movement and to thereby retract the needle cannula, with the tip guard protectively covering the puncture tip of the needle cannula.

摘要： An instrument, article and method are provided for minimizing pain during administration by injection of a liquid, such as, an anesthetic. The instrument has a forward end. A lightpipe mounted freely for vibration projects out of the forward end. The article, a single use tip, is composed of a tip sleeve removably mounted on the forward end of the instrument and a tip member removably mounted on the projecting lightpipe to vibrate a preselected injection site on a human or animal. The tip sleeve and tip member are covered by an elastic overmold that enables the tip member to vibrate freely with respect to the tip sleeve and light from the lightpipe to illuminate the injection site. A vibration unit mounted in the instrument is coupled to the lightpipe. The method is carried out by imparting vibrations and illumination via the lightpipe to the tip member.

摘要： A safety razor adapted to deliver a non-solid shaving aid material during normal use includes a handle, a razor cartridge and a reservoir for the shaving aid material in fluid communication with an applicator of the razor cartridge. A linkage extends from the reservoir to the razor cartridge. Pivotal movement of the razor cartridge away from its at-rest position causes the linkage to move relative to both the razor cartridge and the reservoir and in particular away from the reservoir. A plug of the linkage is removed from a vent aperture of the reservoir providing pressure relief for any partial vacuum caused from dispensing a portion of the shaving aid material. In the at-rest position the plug seals the vent and helps alleviate unwanted drooling of the shaving aid material when the safety razor is not in use.
