摘要： A safety needle assembly has a needle hub and a needle cannula projecting from the hub. Wings project transversely from the hub to facilitate manipulation and positioning of the needle assembly. A shield is hingedly attached to the needle hub and can be rotated from a first position where the needle cannula is exposed to a second position where the needle cannula is shielded. At least one latch may be disposed on the shield for secure locked engagement with the hub, the wings and/or the tubing extending from the hub. A spring may also be provided for propelling the shield into the second position.

摘要： A solar power generation device comprising a power subunit comprising an array configured to collect solar radiation, and a control subunit removably connected to the power subunit and configured to provide control and motion to the power subunit. The array includes at least one solar module and a pivoting means configured to facilitate movement of the at least one solar module from a closed configuration to an open configuration. The power subunit includes a frame configured to support and move the array. The control subunit includes a tracking system configured to position the array relative to a the sun to maximize collection of solar radiation. When not in use, the solar power generation device may be stacked in a closed configuration with other similar devices on a pallet or other storage device.

摘要： A shaving apparatus is provided that includes a reservoir, a support carriage, a razor cartridge, and a handle. The reservoir, which is operable to contain a non-solid shaving aid material, includes a selectively collapsible side wall surrounding an interior cavity having a volume. The support carriage includes a guide member and an applicator panel. The applicator panel includes one or more ports in fluid communication with the reservoir. One end of the reservoir is attached to the support carriage, and the other end of the reservoir is attached to the handle. The razor cartridge is mounted on the support carriage adjacent the applicator panel. The support carriage is movable relative to the handle in a manner that enables the reservoir side wall to collapse to decrease the volume of the reservoir, and thereby transfer shaving aid material from the reservoir to the one or more ports. According to an aspect of the present invention, a shaving apparatus is provided that includes the above described reservoir, support carriage, and razor cartridge, and a mounting flange, collectively assembled as a replaceable cartridge that is selectively attachable to a handle.

摘要： A bar code scanner for either fixed or hand-held disposition at a counter. The scanner includes a compact housing including a spherical head with a window and a downwardly protruding stem, and a sliding carriage attached to the base of the stem. The stem and sliding carriage cooperate with arcuate guide rails in the compact base for positioning the window via pivoting the head about a horizontal axis. An omni-directional scanning assembly is mounted in the head and this includes an object detection circuit for detecting and determining the presence of an object within an operative scanning field, a light source for generating a laser beam when an object is within the scanning field, a scanning mechanism for scanning the light beam across the object and its bar code, a photoreceiving circuit for receiving light reflected from the bar code, an A/D converter for generating a digital signal representing the light reflected from the bar code, and processing and control circuitry for decoding the bar coded-information and controlling overall system flow.
