摘要： A sharps collector comprising a container for holding, storing, and disposing syringes. The sharps collector includes a disposable receptacle and a decorative cover. The receptacle preferably has two elongated apertures and chutes associated with each aperture. The chutes are designed to guide syringes into the receptacle once the syringes pass through an aperture. The chutes also obstruct syringes which are already contained in the receptacle from protruding or re-emerging out of the receptacle. The decorative cover is reusable and fits over and attaches to the receptacle. When the cover is attached to the receptacle, it conceals the apertures and chutes of the receptacle. The cover includes an elongated aperture through which a shuttle is accessed. The shuttle directs syringes to the concealed apertures and chutes of the receptacle. The syringes to be disposed are placed in the shuttle and the shuttle is manually shifted such that a syringe is pushed towards an aperture and chute. The syringe then falls through the aperture, is guided by the chute, and ultimately falls into the receptacle and is contained within the receptacle. The cover can be detached from a receptacle when that receptacle is ready to be discarded.

摘要： An air flow and filtration control system in the form of a headgear which is worn by a physician during a surgical procedure, a technician during an assembly process, or any other user wherein a controlled air flow and air filtration is required or desired. The flow through system includes a relatively rigid, open frame, skeleton headgear structure which substantially surrounds the head of the wearer. The structure includes ductwork and is adjustably attached to a headband formed of straps which are adapted to snugly engage the head of the wearer.A plurality of fans or other air moving devices are mounted in the structure. The fans are positioned to move air through the integral ducts in the structure. A shroud (or hood) is draped over and attached to the structure in such a fashion as to completely cover the structure and to cover at least a portion of the wearer in order to maintain sterile or controlled conditions. A relatively planar transparent screen or "window" is provided at the front of the apparatus for substantially undistorted viewing. Typically, the transparent screen is mounted in the shroud and is removable therewith. Filtration devices are formed or mounted in the shroud so as to be disposed adjacent to the fans when the shroud is placed over the structure. A suitable power supply, such as a battery pack or the like, is used to selectively power the fans. It is anticipated that at least the shroud (and the components mounted thereto) will be disposable.

摘要： A medical patch having a multi-piece bottom liner including a central liner sequentially removable independently of two outer perimeter liners. The multi-piece liner covering two adhesives of different peel force. Removal of the central liner exposes a first temporary/repositionable adhesive. Once properly positioned, the outer perimeter liners are removed to expose a second stronger adhesive. A foam cushioning layer is disposed beneath and extends beyond a footprint of every printed circuit board to prevent skin irritation. The medical patch may be designed specifically for stimulation of the sacral (S3 foramen) spinal nerve without the use of a separate mechanical placement tool or assistance by another.
