    • An articulated doll mounted on a ball which contains an internal eccentric weight appears to dance and play with the ball. The torso of the doll is pivotally connected to the outside surface of the doll and legs hingedly connected to the torso are biased in toward the ball surface. The doll's head is connected to the torso for limited rotational movement about an axis and the center of gravity of the doll's head is offset from the axis so that the head moves from side-to-side as the ball wobbles about on a playing surface. Arms flexibly connected at one end to the torso have hands at the other end that are connected to the ball by extending pins permitting pivotal movement of the doll with respect to the ball.

    • A walking doll is described having a pair of side by side legs which automatically pivot forwardly when lifted off the ground. The legs include movable, side by side buttocks. The doll may be connected to a stroller through a handle that oscillates from side to side as the stroller is forwarded. When the doll is connected to the handle the doll rocks from side to side causing one leg after another to be lifted from the ground. As a leg is lifted from the ground an eccentric weight within the leg causes the leg to step forwardly until the handle is rotated in the opposite direction at which time the leg again contacts the ground and the other leg is lifted off the ground. The handle is oscillated by a cam follower which follows a cam rotated by an axle of the stroller.

    • A competitive game device wherein opposed projectile launching stations are interconnected by a bridge containing a plurality of linearly spaced target receptacles, each suitable for receiving a plurality of projectiles. The launching stations are provided with launching platforms for positioning a projectile preparatory to launching. Manually operable propulsion devices are provided at each launching station for allowing each opposing player to launch projectiles in the direction of the target receptacles. Sets of projectiles for each player are differentiated by distinctive colors or symbols. The players may establish the rules of the game with respect to the number of projectiles to be launched and concurrent or sequential operation of their respective propulsion devices. Victory may be awarded to the player who first lands a specified number of his projectiles in one or more of the target receptacles. It has been found that the game is particularly entertaining when the players operate their respective propulsion devices concurrently and when victory falls to the first player who succeeds in landing one of his projectiles in the topmost position in four of the five target receptacles provided in the bridge.

    • A doll has bendable arms that are movable from a position generally alongside the doll's torso up toward the doll's head. Each arm has a hand attached for rotation about the wrist. When an arm is bent and moved up, the attached hand rotates. Movement of each arm is effected by a cable extending through a hollow, bendable conduit. One end of each cable is connected to a respective hand and at the other end to a common control knob. The hands are biased to rotate in one direction and rotate in the opposite direction when the respective cable is tightened. Side to side turning of the doll's head is also effected by movement of the control knob. In addition, a "crying" sound is effected through the control knob by turning over a sound drum when the arm and head motions are made.

    • A doll that may be actuated to simulate a swimming, walking or kicking action includes a torso with a pair of arms rotatably mounted thereto. A head mounting member is pivotally mounted to the upper portion of the torso and a leg mounting structure is secured to the lower portion of the torso. A pair of legs are pivotally mounted on the leg mounting structure in a manner to allow independent rotation. A compound cam is rotatably mounted in the torso and includes a helical groove in which a pair of cam followers are positioned that are in turn secured to each of the legs. A third cam follower is positioned within the torso to engage an eccentric cam that is part of the compound cam. The third cam follower is mechanically connected to the head mounting member resulting in pivoting of the head. A flotation device is arranged to be engageable by the doll's arms for use in the swimming mode. The doll may also include a wheeled vehicle that supports the doll in a generally vertical orientation while allowing the legs of the doll to engage a surface such as a floor. Movement of the legs propels the doll and the wheeled vehicle over a surface.
