摘要： A herein disclosed manufacturing method includes a battery case assembling step to assemble a battery case, a capacity increasing step at which an inside capacity of the battery case is increased by injecting a gas via an electrolytic solution liquid injection hole to an inside of a battery case having been assembled so as to deform a battery case, a liquid injecting step at which an electrolytic solution is injected via an electrolytic solution liquid injection hole to an inside of a battery case having been deformed, and a sealing step to seal a battery case on which a liquid injection has been performed. Furthermore, regarding the herein disclosed manufacturing method, at the capacity increasing step, a regulation jig is used to regulate a deformation of a part of a side wall. By doing this, it becomes easier to control a deformed position or a deformed amount.

摘要： A herein disclosed manufacturing method includes a battery case assembling step, a case deforming step, a liquid injecting step, and a sealing step. Here, the case deforming step is controlled to make an area size of the high expansion area in a front view be equal to or more than ⅓ of a total area size of an expansion surface on a first side wall. By doing this, a whole plastic deformation due to an expansion from an inside is caused on the first side wall, and thus it is possible to suppress a size variation in the secondary batteries after the manufacture.

摘要： According to the present disclosure, a secondary battery in which a gas discharge valve has excellent operational stability is provided. A battery case of the secondary battery disclosed herein includes a flat rectangular sealing plate, and a gas discharge valve provided in the sealing plate. In addition, in the secondary battery, a thickness T1 of the sealing plate, a length L1 of a short side of the sealing plate, a length L2 of a long side of the sealing plate, and a length L3 of the gas discharge valve in a short side direction satisfy expression (1) represented by T1/L1≤0.1, expression (2) represented by L2/L1≥6, and expression (3) represented by L3/L1≥0.4. As a result, when an internal pressure of the case rises to a desired pressure, the sealing plate is easily bent and deformed, so that the gas discharge valve can be stably operated by the bending deformation.

A gas discharge valve of a sealing plate 1 disclosed herein has a flat plate-shaped base portion and a protruding portion protruding from a first surface of the base portion in a first direction, an annular thin-walled portion having a thickness smaller than the thickness of the protruding portion is provided around the protruding portion, and a first surface of the thin-walled portion is substantially on the same surface as the first surface of the base portion. In the gas discharge valve having the above configuration, the total amount of metal that is plastically deformed is reduced by limiting the formation region of the thin-walled portion to the periphery of the protruding portion.

摘要： A present disclosure provides a technique that can increase a holding amount of an electrolytic solution inside a battery case and that can suppress a reduction in a manufacture efficiency. A herein disclosed manufacturing method includes a battery case assembling step at which an upper surface opening is sealed by a sealing plate under a state where an electrode body is arranged inside an outer case so as to assemble a battery case, a capacity increasing step at which an inside capacity of the battery case is increased by injecting a gas via an electrolytic solution liquid injection hole to an inside of a battery case having been assembled so as to deform a battery case, a liquid injecting step at which an electrolytic solution is injected via an electrolytic solution liquid injection hole to an inside of a battery case having been deformed, and a sealing step to seal an electrolytic solution liquid injection hole of a battery case on which a liquid injection has been performed. By doing this, it is possible to induce a whole deformation due to an expansion from the inside onto the battery case, and thus it is possible to remarkably increase the inside capacity of the battery case. As this result, it is possible to reduce a number of performing the liquid injection of the electrolytic solution, and to suppress a reduction in the manufacture efficiency.

A gas release vent of a sealing plate disclosed herein includes: a base portion with a flat plate shape; a thin portion which is thinner than the base portion; a groove portion formed in the thin portion; and a valve element formed inside the groove portion. In addition, the groove portion has a remaining portion which is a region with a larger remaining thickness as compared to another region of the groove portion. The remaining portion of the groove portion is formed in a region including one intersection point among two intersection points where a straight line which passes a center of the gas release vent and which extends in a short-side direction of the sealing plate intersects the groove portion with the approximately annular shape.
