摘要： A surgical mask adapted to cover the nose, mouth and eyes of the wearer is disclosed. A transparent lens component is positioned to cover the eyes of the user. A light-transmitting filter element being hingably connected to the upper edge of the transparent lens. The filter may be positioned selectively into overlapping relation of the lens to provide a filtering function or folded 180° to remove the filter from overlapping relation of the lens panel. The filter and lens panel are connected such that a degree of relative lateral movement between the components is provided whereby the filter may be moved between overlapping and non-overlapping conditions of the lens without removing the mask from the wearer.

摘要： A flexible intra-oral bandage and kit thereof including an hydrolyzable powder/water-wettable fiber mixture enclosed in a flexible, water-permeable, non-stick envelope. The envelope is immersed in water or medication so that the liquid is absorbed through the envelope to wet the hydrolyzable powder/water-wettable fiber mixture and form a moldable tacky gel. The envelope is then removed from the gel and the gel is manually molded and placed in a desired location in a patient's oral cavity. The kit can also be used as a drug delivery system to deliver medication to a patient through the oral cavity.

摘要： A syringe or cartridge having a hollow barrel with an open end and a second end suitable for attaching a needle assembly. A master plunger assembly that includes a master plunger and a plunger member is mounted in the barrel for longitudinal movement therein. A slave plunger is mounted in the barrel for longitudinal movement therein, and is located between the master plunger assembly and the second barrel end so as to define two chambers. The first chamber a liquid chamber and is between the slave plunger and the second barrel end, and the second chamber is a pneumatic chamber and is between the slave plunger and the master plunger assembly. The liquid-containing chamber is suitable for containing a liquid to be dispensed from the syringe, and the pneumatic chamber contains a gas such as air. When the liquid-containing chamber contains a liquid to be dispensed, a user applying selective pressure to the plunger member will cause the master plunger assembly to slide towards the slave plunger and compress the gas against the slave plunger. The slave plunger will as a result of this pressure slide towards the second barrel end as the gas decompresses and apply pressure against the liquid as a result thereof. The liquid will then be dispensed out of the syringe or cartridge via a needle attached to the barrel end.

摘要： A surgical mask of the type worn about the nose and face and tied about the head or ears. To the inner surface of the mask, a nasal dilator, in the form of two attachment devices, each with a base upon which two layers of pressure sensitive adhesive is applied using one of the adhesive layers. The mask is pinched in towards the sides of the nose and the adjacent portions of the face to attach the mask to the nose and adjacent portions of the face. When the pinch in forces are removed the mask attempts to return to its initial position and outwardly moves the skin and muscles of the sides of the nose and adjacent face portions to expand the nasal passages of the nose. The attachment devices cover muscles which control the lower valve and the inner valve of the nose and are attached with ⅔ of their area on the nose and ⅓ of their area on the face.

摘要： A reclosable fastener having first members on a first side of the separation of an envelope, package, box or the like caused by the removal of a tear strip. In a first embodiment, a base is connected by a tether to a movable element. A similar base is placed on the other side. When the movable element is caused to engage the second base the tether acts to seal the separation. In a second embodiment, individual non-connected bases are set transverse to the separation. A series of locking members joined to form a band are connected to the other side of the separation by adhesive materials. The band is positioned across the separation to close it and the locking members are joined to the non-connected bases. As many non-connected bases and locking members as needed to close a particular separation can be used.
