    • A device (8) for improving a user's breathing includes an oral appliance (10) and a connecting post (20) coupled to the oral appliance (10). The connecting post (20) has an arm (22) providing a standard interface to engage cooperatively shaped openings (40, 42) in other components (24, 26, 44, 60) each designed to improve the user's breathing in at least one respect. A CPAP interface (44) coupled to the arm (22) may deliver a gas to the user's nose to improve the user's breathing. A venting seal (24) coupled to the arm (22) may reduce venting of the gas from the user's mouth to further improve the user's breathing. The CPAP interface (44) may include a pair of nasal pillows (30) that seat within a portion of the user's nose to deliver the gas to the user. A pair of tubes (48) are coupled to the nasal pillows (30). A pair of joints (50) coupled to the tubes (48) allow the positions of the tubes (48) to be adjusted as appropriate to adjustably position the nasal pillows (30) within the user's nose.

    • A simple, lightweight, easily deployable mask designed for use in modern fires. The mask substantially covers a wearer's face and includes a peripheral adhesive seal for preventing contaminants from effecting the wearer's visual or respiratory systems. The peripheral seal preferably comprises an adhesive band employing the skin adhesive commonly used in surgical masks. The adhesive band provides for closed attachment of the mask to the brow, the temporal area, cheek, over the jaw and down under the chin. The mask is anchored firmly to the ears of the wearer by resilient straps. Thus attached, the mask seals the eyes, nasal passages and mouth from the toxic external environment. The mask includes an intermediate seal separating the mask into separate visual and respiratory portions. The mask further includes a particulate filter impregnated with MOLECULITE® and one, or more frangible vials filled with perfluorocarbon saturated with oxygen which combine to filter out particulates, absorb toxic chemicals and provide a source of oxygen to the wearer.

The assembly (14) preferably includes an inflatable elastomeric inner tube (30) together with an exterior sheath (36) of woven or braided material which restricts radial expansion of the tube (30) while permitting axial expansion thereof. In preferred forms, the deployed length of the assembly (14) is up to three times greater than the relaxed length thereof.

    • A gas mask structure including a rear cup body, two cell seats and a front cup body. The rear cup body has an opening facing backward. A top side of front face of the rear cup body is formed with an inlet and a guide way downward extends from the inlet. An inclined outlet is formed on a bottom side of front face of the rear cup body. A check membrane is disposed on front side of the outlet.     • A lightweight, portable non-invasive device specifically designed to regulate and effectively equalize the pressure between the sinus cavities and middle ear, and the nasal cavity and nasopharynx. The relieving of the pressure within the sinus cavities in turn relieves pain normally associated with such a condition. The subject pressure equalizing assembly has a face mask having a seal disposed about the outer periphery thereof which is specifically dimensioned and configured to surround the nose and nostrils of the user in an outwardly spaced relation thereto. This seal effectively isolates the nasal cavity and nasopharynx when the user swallow, and defines direct fluid communication with a vacuum chamber and a pressure regulating assembly serving to create an initial negative pressure within the nasal cavity and nasopharynx. Fluid in the form of mucous, liquid and/or air is transferred from the sinus cavities which may define a zone of relative high pressure such that the pressure is effectively regulated between the sinus cavities, middle ear, nasal cavities and nasopharynx through the selective manipulation of the pressure regulating assembly thereby providing immediate relief from sinus pain while helping to relieve middle ear pressure and associated symptoms.
