    • A mounting arrangement for a vehicle seat assembly including an electrically operated seat adjusting device which permits expedient fastening of the seat assembly to a vehicle floor and which essentially consists of lockable engaging connections provided on at least one side of the seat adjusting device as the fastening mechanism between the seat adjusting device and the vehicle floor and/or between a seat shell of the seat assembly and the seat adjusting device. On the opposite side of the seat adjusting device there are provided fastening connections preferably formed as screw connections which may be tightened to lock said engaging connections for a firm fastening of the assembly. The seat adjusting device is adapted to be manually operated by an auxiliary actuating device in the event of malfunction of elements thereof such as drive motors, gear units or interconnecting flexible shafts.

    • In an adjusting device for a seat in a motor vehicle, a sliding seat guiding mechanism moves the seat in a generally horizontal direction. The guide mechanism includes an upper part secured to the seat and a support member secured to the floor of the vehicle. A rack is attached to the upper part and is driven by a pinion mounted on the support member for moving the seat in the generally horizontal direction. The rack is adjustably mounted on the upper part to permit limited movement of the rack in the generally vertical direction disposed transversely of the generally horizontal direction of movement of the seat so that proper engagement of the rack and the pinion is assured.

    • The window in the door of an automotive vehicle is raised and lowered by means of an externally threaded, longitudinally moving cable. The drive arrangement for the cable includes a shell having first and second shell portions of which at least one is formed with an aperture. A pinion is rotatably secured between the shell portions and journaled in the aperture of apertures. A first group of fastening devices fastens the first shell portion to the second shell portion in a predetermined position, but may also fasten the shell portions to one another in each of a plurality of other positions angularly offset about the axis of pinion rotation from the predetermined position. The shell portions define therebetween respective passages through the shell in the several positions of the first shell portion, the passages being approximately tangential relative to the pinion and angularly offset from each other about the axis of the pinion. Each passage is associated with one of the positions of the first shell portion, and the externally threaded cable is movably received in the passage associated with the predetermined position of the first shell portion, but dimensioned for longitudinal movement in each of the other passages. A second group of fastening devices permits the second shell portion to be fastened to the vehicle door.

    • A seat cushion adjustment device depends on an adjustment path of at least one main adjustment of the seat and serves to define a development curve of the seat cushion adjustment individually and ergonomically. The seat cushion adjustment device includes a first adjustment device for a main adjustment of the vehicle seat within a defined adjustment area and a second adjustment device coupled to the first adjustment device for adjusting the seat cushion in dependence on a main adjustment of the seat cushion in dependence on a main adjustment of the vehicle seat. The seat cushion adjustment device also includes a separate adjustment device coupled to said first or second adjustment device for fixing the development curve of the seat cushion adjustment device within a restricted adjustment area, whereby the extreme positions of the seat cushion are associated with the extreme positions of at least one main adjustment of the vehicle seat.
