摘要： A yarn splicing device for piecing spun yarns without knots. It contains a yarn splicing chamber and a small pipe through which fluid flows, at a distance from the yarn splicing chamber. The small pipe serves to receive a yarn end and to prepare it for the splicing process. The small pipe has a roughened inner surface which makes contact with the yarn end in a battering manner. In the process for the yarn end preparation, the small pipe is traversed turbulently by a fluid. The yarn end is battered by the turbulent flow against the roughened inner surface of the small pipe until the yarn end is free of twist.

The spinning material is air-conditioned for processing in a spinning machine which is essentially surrounded by any room climate. The spinning material is exposed in the container to a climate which is independent of the room climate. This causes, at least, the spinning material to be taken next out of the container to be air-conditioned in such manner that it is in an optimal climatic state for such further processing. Outlet openings of at least one air-conditioning duct or an air-conditioning plant are located on the container so that an air-conditioned fluid flows out of the outlet openings on at least the spinning material to be taken out next and the spinning material is in an optimal climatic state for further processing as it is then processed further.

The measuring device is connected to adjusting devices of at least one spinning station. When the yarn quality is changed, the measuring device, together with the adjusting devices influences at least this spinning station.

摘要： A method and apparatus for cleaning fibrous material which is fed in the form of a sliver by a delivery device to an opening roller carried within a housing which opens the fibrous material and feeds the opened fibers to an open-end spinning device. A dust separator opening is provided in the housing between the delivery device and the open-end spinning device. A source of suction is connected to the dust-separator opening and a gauze-like covering extends over the dust-separator opening for maintaining the fibrous material within the effective range of the opening roller as the fibrous material is carried thereover during the opening process. The dust from the fibrous material is withdrawn through the gauze-like covering and the dust-separator opening by the source of suction. The housing can also be provided with a trash separator opening having a separator edge positioned adjacent thereto for separating trash from the fibrous material simultaneously while the dust is being removed therefrom.

摘要： A method and apparatus of detecting faulty operations of spinning units of an open-end spinning machine by monitoring the faults appearing in the yarn being produced by the machine and generating a fault signal responsive thereto. Another speed responsive signal is produced responsive to the speed that the yarn is being delivered from the spinning compartment of the machine. The fault signal is fed to a variable gain amplifier which has its gain controlled by the speed responsive signal. The signal produced by the amplifier is then differentiated, shaped, and integrated. The integrated signal is, in turn, compared with a threshold value for determining when the faults in the yarn exceed a predetermined level.

摘要： A core thread is combined with staple fiber in a spinning rotor by feeding the core thread to form a loop in the fiber collection surface while feeding and withdrawing the core thread in a manner to maintain it substantially linear, and the stable fiber is spun into an outer yarn shroud twisted about the axis of the core thread. The core thread feed tube is located at one side of and spaced from a diametral plane through the fiber collection surface, and the fiber feed tube is located at the opposite side of and spaced from such plane through the fiber collection surface. A loop is formed in the core thread by delaying startup of drawoff rollers for a predetermined interval after startup of core thread supply rollers, and the loop is laid on the circumference of the fiber collection surface by rotation of the spinning rotor. The rate of core yarn drawoff is determined by the rate of core thread feed less an allowance for a slight shortening of the core thread during twisting of staple fiber onto the core thread.
