摘要： The device of the present invention is designed for repairing a tear in soft and/or tough tissue of a patient, such as a tear in the meniscus of the knee.The device has a conduit, such as a cannula, that may be easily inserted into the patient and through which the fastener is delivered to the patient. This conduit is aligned with a seat for holding a fastener and a means for pushing a fastener, such as a piston, so that the pushing means is capable of pushing a fastener from its seat, through the conduit and into the patient. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the shape of the conduit exactly matches the shape of the cross-section of the fastener so that the surgeon may more accurately direct the angle and location at which the fastener enters the patient.

摘要： A suture anchor, an insertion tool for inserting a suture anchor, and a device for internal working of hole in bony tissue. The anchor comprises an anchor body having a longitudinal cross-section defined by a perimeter. The perimeter comprises at least one tissue-intruding edge formed between the first side and the second side of the perimeter. The intruding edge is arranged to penetrate the tissue during a rotating motion of the anchor in said opening. The anchor further comprises an abutment surface, arranged substantially on the opposite side of the anchor body in relation to said intruding edge. The first side of the intruding edge is arranged to connect with the abutment surface by a connecting part of the perimeter having the shape of a substantially curved piece in said longitudinal cross-section.

摘要： An instrument for shaping a mouth part of a drilled tunnel provided in a bone. The instrument includes a shaft having a longitudinal axis and a first and a second end. The first end of the shaft is provided with a projection, which includes a blade for shaping the mouth part of the drilled tunnel when the instrument is turned around the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The instrument is asymmetric at an intersecting surface perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and intersecting with the blade, the instrument thus shaping the surfaces surrounding the first end only substantially within an area corresponding with a turning angle of such a turning movement.

摘要： A surgical tissue fixation system is described, including: (1) a bioabsorbable tissue fixation plate having optionally a plurality of through-holes arranged in alternating relation along the plate; (2) bioabsorbable fasteners adapted for insertion into the through-holes to secure the plate to underlying bodily tissue or bone; and (3) an installation instrument which triggers (strikes or shoots) fasteners one after one, in rapid succession, into the through-holes made through the plate and into the underlying bodily tissue or bone, which also optionally includes drillholes.
