    • A continuously variable transmission control system is disclosed. The control system has a first operator input device to receive operator input and produce a corresponding first signal indicative of a selected one of a plurality of available predetermined discrete machine travel speed ranges. The control system also has a second operator input device to receive operator input and produce a corresponding second signal indicative of desired machine travel. The control system also has a power source operatively coupled to drive a continuously-variable transmission, and a controller configured to regulate at least one of an output of the power source and an output of the continuously variable transmission in response to the first and second signals such that an actual machine travel speed remains within the selected one of the plurality of predetermined discrete machine travel speed ranges.

Further a method for feeding a ring-shaped coin magazine (1) is presented, whereas the coin magazine (1) defines a cavity (13). In particular a method for feeding a coin magazine (1) which forms an annulus is disclosed, wherein the coin magazine (1) comprises a coin input (4) fed by a coin verifier (2), a plurality of coin supports (7.1 . . . 7.5) for separately storing a plurality of coins (12.1 . . . 12.3) and a coin output (15). The method is characterized in that a coin (12.1 . . . 12.3) being released from the coin verifier (2) is directly fed into the magazine (1) from the cavity (13) being defined by the ring-shaped magazine (1) in a first radially outward pointing direction. Further the coin (12.1 . . . 12.3) is stored within the magazine (1) and eventually the coin (12.1 . . . 12.3) is released from the magazine (1) in a second radially outward pointing direction.

    • Provided are a method, system and program for effecting an operating system mode change from one mode to another. In one embodiment, the operating system in one mode is placed in a sleep state in which volatile memory remains active. In booting an operating system from the sleep state, a flag may be detected indicating an operating system mode transfer request. In response, contents of a selected range of volatile memory allocated to the first operating system mode may be swapped with the contents of a selected range of a reserve portion of volatile memory allocated to the second operating system mode. Booting of an operating system in the second mode may be completed using the swapped contents of the volatile memory. Additional embodiments are described and claimed.
