摘要： The invention is directed to a device (1) for cleaning teeth and gums, which is provided with a liquid container (2) that is joined by way of a liquid supply conduit (7) to an inlet (8) of a pump (9) adapted to be driven by an electric motor (10). The pump, when activated, draws a liquid (3) from the liquid container (2) to the inlet (8). Still further, an air supply conduit (13) is provided which is connected to the liquid supply conduit (7) for the purpose of admixing air to the drawn liquid (3). According to the invention, at least a section (15) of the air supply conduit (13) is arranged at a level above a maximum possible level (14) of the liquid (3). This prevents the escape of liquid (3) from the device (1).

The bore (15) is intended to direct the liquid to the discharge port (18). In operation, the impeller (6) executes a rotary motion about the axis of rotation (4). This creates a single jet exiting from the discharge port (18) and revolving on the surface of a cone. With this revolving single jet, a superior cleaning effect is accomplished in the cleansing and care of teeth and gums.

摘要： The invention relates to a valve coupling (1.1) having a discharge part (2.1) and a receiving part which can be coupled to the discharge part and which has a valve function which, in the coupled state, allows the transmission of a fluid or paste-like material from the discharge part to the receiving part. In the decoupled state, the discharge part and the receiving part are closed in a fluid-tight manner. The discharge part has a discharge valve, and the receiving part (3.1) has a receiving valve. The coupling or decoupling results in an opening or closing of the valves and is carried out by elastic deformation, wherein, in the case of coupling, the valves are opened only when the discharge part is connected to the receiving part in a fluid-tight manner, and in the case of decoupling, the valves are closed before the fluid-tight connection is broken.

摘要： The invention is directed to a jet nozzle (1) for a handpiece of an oral irrigator, which has a nozzle head (2) in which a feed line (4) runs. The feed line (4) opens into an outlet orifice (5) from which a liquid can emerge in the form of a single jet. A constriction (6) is provided in the feed line (4). The constriction (6) acts to produce a large number of microfine gas bubbles. The microfine gas bubbles are better suited to penetrate deep into subcrestal pockets in order to kill anaerobic bacteria which have settled there by the supply of oxygen, hence treating and curing inflammations of the gums.

摘要： The invention is directed to an appliance for treating hair (1), which is comprised of a handle section (2) and a heatable hair treatment section (3). The section (3) possesses an approximately tubular bristle mounting member (4) which is assembled from two half shells (7, 8). Projecting outwardly from the half shell (7) are bristles (5), and the half shell (8) is equipped with rib members (6). The radius (R1) of the cross section of the bristled half shell (7) is smaller than the radius (R2) of the cross section of the ribbed half shell (8). These different radii (R1, R2) enable a user both to form waves with long or medium long hair and to treat short hair in the area close to the scalp. The larger radius may be used for large-volume waves in particular where long hair is involved, while the smaller radius is suitable in particular for treating short hair as well as hair in the area close to the scalp.
